I am building recut fixtures.
You tell me what size collet you have for the spin indexer or what taper you use for a lathe and I will build it. All Stainless and aluminium 6061 construction.

Price with allen wrench 2 stainless collars and aluminium holder $75
Additional collars $20 a piece.

PM me for pictures as I will not post pictures.

I've done recut points on my cuesmith by taking a light depth cut, realigning and cutting again. Will this make that process easier?

Basically the idea is that you set up the holder in the machine one time. You mount the collars on the work piece however many that will be and cut. Then if you take the piece out and say a point is messed up you put back in the machine and reindex it and bam recut that point. Basic quick and dirty. This uses pointed set screws that seat in 304 stainless steel. They will never wear out. I mount mine in a 5c spin indexer like this
HORIZONTAL_VERTICAL_COLLET_INDEX.jpg

And mount that in the mill.

I did not think about this but I can sell the whole set up turnkey for the right price. Or pieces on the spin indexer and center etc. I will entertain questions.

Great idea on the turnkey set-up John. Please e-mail the price to furnish everything needed. See previous PM for e-mail address. Oh, BTW, I have heard somewhere it is cheaper to have two indexing heads than have 1 head and a tail. Don't know if this is the case, just a thought.

Thanks,
Alan

Alan PM me your phone Number. There are a whole bunch of ways to go on the turn key set up. I probably won't get back to you until tomorrow. I am in the shop making chips today.

I'm interested John, but a few questions first. Do these attach similar to Lee's, with a small bolt of some sort? Will these need to be threaded or will they be threaded by you already? And what thread would that be, or can we choose what we want? Thanks,
Dave

Dave this is a completely different set up than Lee's. The indexing is doen by pointed set screws.
