Rodd said:The Red Dot is used on Dynamo bar tables. It is very heavy so it will tip the weight scale to make it return. It is the heaviest bar table c/b with the possible exception of the very large c/b. You don't want this on a 9 footer. It follows very well but a long draw shot without a real good draw stroke isn't going to happen.

Not long ago, OldHasBeen wrote an excellent post about the problems caused by using a cueball that doens't conform to the set of balls, and he made his argument very convincingly.
Based on your post, Rodd, the red dot cueball doesn't conform to the usual equipment that is used on a 9 x 4 1/2, so it seems it would be a poor choice.
