RED X - Problem displaying and uploading pictures in post.

I have recently started having trouble uploading photos to my posts. I have not had these problems in the past. When I upload a picture (.jpg) to my post, the only thing that appears is a RED X.

If any of you have suggestions as to what could be causing the problem I would appreciate hearing from you.

I have not made any major software installations except for adding Quicktime that I know of, at least in the past month or so. This problem seems to be fairly recent and it only applies to this forum.

I can send and receive pictures just fine using Microsoft Outlook although I often have to click on something to see the pictures since my sercurity settings are set a medium high.

I can send, receive and view these same .jpg files using Microsoft Outlook 2007 without any problems.

When I upload the files to my post on AZ Billiards in any forum, and I click on the file to view it, all I see is a RED X.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

theres a limit as to how much you can upload to the az forum. go to user cp > attachments and clear out some of your other attached pics and they will start to display fine, otherwise use photobucket or your own host.

So far, it's not working. I just uploaded a .JPG file that I created and it was stored on my hard drive to a post in the TEST AREA Forum and it still gave me the red X.

You can store as many as you want. Have them available whenever you need to change. Lots of advantages. Then all you have to do is attach the link to your post/message.

this seems to be the perfered method and is quazi sorta what i do now also. i just have a web server that i run some other websites off of and i just upload pics there and link it up. the reason for my other recomendation is because i experianced the same issue and as soon as i deleted out half the images being stored, the newer ones showed fine.
but yeah, host the images elseware, seems to work better.

Joey - What I like to do is to use www.imageshack.us to host the picture.

What I do first is to copy and paste the picture to my desktop.

Next, open up an IE window and type in the above URL into the Address bar.

Next, click on the Browse button and select your desktop and then double click on the picture that you want to add to your post.

Then select "640x480 (for message boards)" from the pull-down menu, which will re-size the picture... and then click on the "Host it" box... and your choices will be displayed.
