I want everyone to know that the WHOLE thing isn't Bryan's fault I'm sure. paypal was protecting his finances because of an identity theft of last year, and just wanted to make sure it was him sending the money. he has kept in contact about the issue at hand as often as he can. when I get the cue back...I'll post it right here. I just don't want everyone thinking because I had a bad experience with him, that everyone will. his feedback was perfect, and never had a problem until this! if I was willing to do internet deals again...I am sure he would buy it (and actually give me the money). I hope the post office didn't mail it anywhere but to me. we'll see what happens. maybe some day...we'll meet and he'll have the ability to buy it face to face. unless someone else buys it first in my city...it's for sale to someone face to face. (if the post office sends it here) they said this morning they had it and would do so, but we'll find out monday or tuesday

I thought this was a cheap cop-out...not even close to the apology that Duke owes Bryan.

Come on, Duke...be a man (for a change).

There are always two sides to every story and Bryan e-mailed me his side on the 15th. I replied to him and asked his permission to post it here to clear his reputation. I am waiting for his answer and will post the entire explanation when and if he says I can. Believe me Duke was way out of line..
The mixup was all E-Bay/Paypal.

I agree and considered that when posting this. Even though it was subpar, the post did have him admitting Bryan was not in the wrong so I went ahead with it. I'm amazed that Duke hasn't gone out of his way to apologize & right the wrong. He certainly went out of his way to berate the guy... the apology should get as much enthusiasm as the berating IMHO.

That is because duke is a whining knob and shows it all the time. IMO

Starting THIS thread was a good thing to do. I know I OD'd down the line and got sick of the whining and bitching that Duke was doing and gave up on the thread. I would never have known otherwise what the outcome was. Which wouldn't have been good for Bryan if some business ever came up in the future.

I agree with everyone else on here so far...he should be saying a hell of a lot more in the way of apologies and being such a dweeb (as usual).

I just spoke with Bryan on the phone and the latest is that paypal has refunded his money and Duke is not selling him the cue, so that issue is solved. Below is a copy of the e-mail Bryan sent to me on the 15th regarding the problems. I received his permission to post this so folks will know he is an honest person that was caught in a nightmare and did all he could to remedy the event as soon as possible..

Hey Dan. Thanks for the write-up in the AZBilliards site. This has been a
huge freakin mess. Paypal put a freeze on my account because they thought
that some third party might be using the account, going back to that whole
identity theft stuff last year. Well I hadnt bought anything off ebay in
almost a year, so when they saw that I bought the cue and a golf club this
week I guess they got suspicious. I called them today and talked to three
different people and waited almost an hour, but they assured me that the
payments would go through today. Well I get home tonight and they still
werent there, so I had to call back tonight and made the woman release the
payments while I talked to her. The one guy is aggitated but he is being
pretty cool about it, this other guy is going off the deep end. I have given
him tons of emails explaining but he is still pissed. He says that now he
wont even give me the cue when the payment goes through, which Im perfectly
fine with. It an alright cue, but I wasnt crazy about it. The lady at Paypal
said that she couldnt actually stop the payment to him, that since it had
initially gone through, it would have to go through again. It was for 330 so
I wrote the guy back and told him the situation, and told him to just send
me back 300 for all this crap. He says this has cost him over 40 dollars in
post office fees to stop the cue and cell phone bills and stuff, so I hope
this will calm him down and he will retract those statements and the
negative feedback. I gave him my number so hopefully he will call and we can
settle this for good. Anyway hope everything there is good. I will email you
back and let you know how it all turns out. See you later, Bryan

One last note is that Bryan never left Duke any negative feedback and Duke has not retracted the negative feedback he left Bryan on E-Bay.....

Which is even more reason not to be a hot headed a-hole and do something you can't take back later.

I wouldn't expect many people are going to just leave this alone after you come on here and disparage a guy for what turns out to be no fault of his own.

And saying that you have apologized to Bryan via email does not cut it. The only person to see that apology is Bryan while you let the whole billiard world know about your transaction gone bad. If you can't see that you owe this guy a public apology then I disagree with DM on flaming. We need to shun you until you just go away.

Do the right thing man.

Yeah, when you know you're wrong you want people to "Just leave it alone". When you thought Bryan was wrong you sure weren't about "Leaving it alone", were you?

No, you can't retract your feedback. It's permanent once you leave it. That's why you should be at least a little bit careful what you are saying and make damned sure you are right before you leave negative feedback. Those warnings are there and clearly stated when you are leaving feedback...all you have to do is read it, comprehend it, and give a damn about the affect you have on other people. Apparently you did none of those.

However, you can make it better...should you choose to do so. You can leave a follow-up comment to feedback you have left for other people. This comment will be visible when the feedback is read. Just go to the feedback forum and click on follow-up comment for feedback left for others. It will show you all the feedback you've left for other people, then you can choose the feedback you want to follow up, click it and leave your comment. The comment that Bryan left is simply him trying to defend his reputation against your B.S. and it's not nearly as effective as a comment from you saying that you were wrong would be.

Of course, to do that you're going to have to say "I was wrong." and it doesn't look like you're capable of doing that. If you were, we would have already seen that public apology you owe Bryan for the wrongful character assassination you committed against him in public.

do you really care?

for all the slack I've received from you guys, I've done what I could. I've contacted "squaretrade" and went about removing that feedback left for him. whether they do it...I don't know. I will comment on the feedback though. you all hate me...and that's just fine...but I already know your opinions. don't just keep rubbing it in. I'm an idiot incapable of anything normal according to you guys. you all can say what you want (I know you will anyways) about me, but if it was your cue out there, you'd do what you had to to get it back also. maybe you'd comment here...maybe not. who knows. I see now that what is done was a little pre-mature, but would you want to give something away? no! once delivery is done, you can't get NOTHING back, even if it was their fault which is why I acted so quickly. you all can be mad at me if you want, but put yourself in my shoes for one minute before leaving these ignorant comments, and you can see why I reacted this way. he's more than welcome to buy it in person, and he knows this, but according to him he's not crazy about this cue. I apologize for this being such a mess Bryan, and hope we can get past this crap. you were ok to talk to even though paypal got their panties in a twist. the feedback will be taken care of and sorry about all this crap we had to go through over this. everyone see this?? a public apology like YOU wanted. the apology is a little overdue here but I felt it was a deal for me and him to work out.
