Reduced Prices on Josswest; Kikel; Tad (sold) & Carmeli

Hello all. I decided to sell some cues to thin out the herd. Here are 6 cues above $1500. I would like to sell one or two in this batch if possible. I think they are priced right and all nice cues. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions about these cues.

Thanks for looking – All prices include shipping in CONUS.

Higher-end Cues

1) Harvey Martin - $2500 *I don’t really want to sell this but if that’s what will sell…
Butt 15.48oz: ivory joint, original leather wrap, engraved Martin Cue 1968…in ring
Shaft 1 (BRP): 3.3oz 12.1mm just under the ferrule, 13mm 6-7” below ferrule
Shaft 2 (RYjr): 3.52oz 12.4mm just under the ferrule, 13mm 6-7” below ferrule
Both have ivory ferrules

2) Josswest 2000 - 3/18/12 - SOLD
Butt 15.55oz; flat-face Radial Pin; Ivory Butt Cap with JW logo; Leather Wrap by Jimmy Reeves of Reeves Custom Cues.
Original Shaft 1 3.75oz and 12.99mm – ivory ferrule & Kamui med
Original Shaft 2 3.70oz and 12.60mm - ivory ferrule & Kamui med
- Shaft measurements were taken about 1" below the ferrule

3) James White - SOLD
Very rare wrapless full splice made entirely by Jim...including the blank. Points, handle and sleeve are one piece and is made from curly purpleheart. This is spliced into straight grain maple. The points feature ivory notched diamonds and ivory dots at the base of the points. The butt sleeve features ivory notched diamonds and dots. The joint is flat-face sleeved ivory w/ 3/8-10 pin. Ring work is all maple Szamboti style stitch. One matching shaft.

Butt: 29", 15oz
Shaft: 4oz, 13.03mm, ivory ferrule

4) Kikel – (Collectable because of the ferrules) - Sold
BUTT: 14.9oz; 8 point, 4 veneers; textured leather wrap; 68 ivory inlays; joint 5/16 14 pin, black phenolic
Shafts: both at 3.8oz
Ferrules: 13mm w/Kamui medium on both shafts with impregnated maple ferrules (Dave tried to get patent on this technique, but it took too long and it was too much work to recoup his money).

5) Tad - Sold
Butt 14.2oz; Ebony hoppe style points w/4 veneers & Hoppe ring; flat-faced w/the big pin (3/8-12); made in 2004 for J&J since they are the only ones that carry this particular joint style - they currently sell it for $4000 but it sold for $3500 when I bought it about 2 years ago.

Both shafts come in at 4.575oz (perfectly matched) and are full sized shafts so total weight is around 18.7oz and very well balanced.

6) Ariel Carmeli - Sold
Butt 15.1oz, signed by Ariel 1-11; leather wrap, too many inlays to count, but very colorful abalone is inlayed in the ivory in majority of the cue. 8-points (long-Ebony and short-snakewood) very classy cue.
Shaft 1 3.65oz 12.9mm
Shaft 2 3.54oz 12.8mm

Thanks, Dave

All PMs have been answered. Bumping for additional potential buyers .

Thanks,

dave

Again, thanks for all the PMs. Most involve trade + cash - but looking for a cash deal.

Dave

Although I didn't reduce the price on the James White full-splice, that is one heck of a cue and about $300 less than it originally sold for. Check it out!

Dave

hmmm, the Tad looks great

Thank you Joyren. You should see the Carmeli in person! It has slight bleeding in one area of the veneers in one point, but otherwise perfect & like new. Great weight/balance, leather wrap is awesome & it plays well, too. The abalone inlays into the ivory are stunning.

Dave

Question:
Does the Tad have 30" shafts?

Very close, Murph. I just measured it and the butt is 28.5" & the shafts (measured to the base of the ferrule, not including the tip) measured 29 3/4" maybe a hair more. When screwed together I had to measure including the whole tip (not base of ferrule) and it was 58.5". Both shafts are definately over an inch longer than the butt which is typical from what I understand. The length of the cue was more difficult because I was alone and stretched out.

Thanks for asking.

Getting close to selling one of the cues, but nothing firm yet. Thanks for looking.

Thanks for the nice comments, MrSchon9 & c and c. My pending sale didn't happen so all are still available.

This is a great offering, and every one of those cues are amazing. The Kikel is beautiful, and a ton of cue for the money. I really think he is under-rated as a cue maker. Every Kikel I have ever hit has been beautifully constructed, and a solid player. Dave does a great job building cues.

Tad has been sold, any more interest in the rest of the cues available?

Thanks,

Dave
