Refinish Needed

Does anyone know of someone who can refinish a cue in or around the Houston area? The cue maker i was going to have do the work is in retirement mode now so i need to find someone else to do the work. I don't want to send the cue back to the person who built it because i've had problems with the cue since i've recieved it. Thanks.

jw petree in Oklahoma is one of the best in the country...or there is a guy here in Dallas who just redid a southwest for me
 
Go to the 'cue-maker' forum here on AZ and ask, I'm sure you will get some good advice.

Yeah I know of three cue makers in the Houston area. Jerry Olivier,Charlie Wilhite "Rhino Cues" and Annie O. I do know Jerry and Charlie but never met Annie. Jerry lives about five minutes from me and I play pool at Charlie's old pool hall and see him about once or twice a month. PM me if I can help.

Thanks for all of the info. Was thinking of contacting Jerry about the refinish before i posted this up. Definitely gonna give him a call now.

Jerry does nice work. I know William "Toeboy" Rikard, but think he may be the cuemaker you refer to as in retirement. Roger Allen out of Bogie's also does good work, but his turnaround time is pretty long. I would go with Jerry Olivier first, then Annie O. Both do nice work. Haven't seen Wilhite's work. There is also a guy named Danny Spate, but I think he is from near Conroe.

toeboy was who i was referrring to. i think at the moment he is in vacation mode. fortunately i was able to get a few of his cues over the past few years. i play with a cue he made me in 04' then bought another for my brother in 05' for christmas then bought my dad one for father's day of 06' off a guy that was referred to me. super nice guy who has sharred lots of knowledge about the game and the cue building process with me.

he is excelent i refer alot of ppl to him. he will talk to you all day too.. great guy
