Refund on its way to Saddlebow as promised!

Thanks Dave! We can only hope! But I am going to say that is something that will not happen! People are easy to get on the bus, but it is very hard for some of them to get off and admit there wrong doings! It all worked out how is was supossed to in the end!

It worked out the way a lot of us believed right from the begining it would, It's disappointing that the naysayers like the ONE I spoke of and I know has read this, but hasn't even bothered to apologize, which takes the respect I had for him, which was pretty high, right to the basement. Maybe that's fine with him, but if I was wrong, I usually own up to it and apologize as publicly as I offended them But that seems to escape some on this forum, as they feel they can do no wrong because of their past achievments in life, etc. As stated, karma gets them in the end....

It's great that you did the expected thing, which is to refund him. I just wouldn't want to be the one waiting for weeks without my money. Shit happens!

Something tells me you wouldn't be the one spending that kind of money in the first place, let alone waiting for a refund of that kind of money....
 
How does one's rep go from all red/orange to all green in less than 20 minutes?? Destrukkt was at red across the board, then less than 20 minutes later, he's all green as equal to mine??? FISHY

I hope you are not referring to me here. And you may not be, since several people were critical of Doug in the original thread entitled "Can't get a refund". But if you are, I would ask you to please look again at the original thread, which began early on Sept. 18. Doug did in fact respond within a day and acknowledge how things came down in his dealings with Saddlebow. I for one, was impressed with his candor and told him so in my post #55. Doug thanked me for my response in his post #61. I further acknowledged how Doug was dealing with the situation in my post #79.

Doug admitted that he may have made some mistakes in handling this deal, but was going to make the necessary refund asap. In my subsequent post #93, I did apologize to Doug publicly. Maybe you failed to see this. Doug did in fact make that refund one week later. And he also apologized to Saddlebow for his handling of the transaction. He wasn't without fault and he knew it. But he was man enough to admit it and take care of it. Bottom line - lesson learned. And that's a good thing.

Some people respect when you speak your mind with respect. This is an open forum. All the "negative rep" in the world doesn't hurt me, it just shows people can't take an opinion without clicking negative rep. Others were giving me positive for posting my opinion. A forums open discussion, just relax and if you don't agree with someone move on its not the end of the world.

Why do you say that? I just spent $1,600 in the last 2 weeks on case/and cues alone.. and I was actually very close to purchasing a cue from Patrickcues so I'd have a exact specifications custom for my 3rd cue. You don't know me near enough, rather not at ALL, to try and predict what I'd buy or not buy.

I still am considering doing it.. as after he offered a substantial discount on the next buy for the guy who had to wait for his money... that in my eye evens out the time he had to wait for his refund.

I think I'd give him a try for a custom cue.. and we'll see in a bit when I go to buy one from him what happens, I'm sure it'll go smoothly like most of his deals do.

No, Jay, I wasn't referring to you. Sorry if you felt that I was, didn't mean any offence to you. I was referring to another member entirely, whom I had spoken with privately already, that I (incorrectly) assumed they would say a little something to offset the neg. comment made by them earlier in the 'roasting' thread.

Wow just heard about this thread from a Cuemaker friend of mine ... I hate to see this happen to Doug I have always known his as a honest guy that loves his trade. I would not hesitate to buy or recomend him to anyone ... He has done work for me and I was very happy with it , He even corrected some problems for me that I had on another deal that did not go well and he did the work for free to help me out... I hate to see this happen to him and I think he has learned a lesson here in spending money before the customer is satisfied.... If it were me I would of been more patient before going public with this from the buyers side... But I understand the customer must be under alot of stress with his health and such...

There are some up and coming cue makers that are more scam artist then cue makers ... Doug is not one of them ... I have always been pleased in my dealings with him ... And he has always been honest ... I can only hope his business continues to grow out of this ... The world could use a few more honest cue makers like Doug Patrick...

You did get on me pretty quick! However once you saw that I wasnt trying to scam Saddlebow you did come back here and own up and apologize. Just I did did from the beginning! I appreciate that!! I have no hard feelings at anyone here. Let it be people who supported me and the ones who thought what ever they thought! I made a mistake and I took care of it as quickly as I could! Show me someone who hasnt made a mistake, and I will show you someone who hasnt tried! We all make mistakes! Its how we deal with them is what makes us as a person!!!
 
I will Vouch 100% for Doug 7 days/week. He made a mistake-he wont make that mistake again. He is a fair honest man who makes great cues and is assett to our sport.
