One of the best cue makers period is Dave Kikel. His cues are top grade not only in playability but in design and workmanship.

dave is a for sure a diamond in the "not so" rough. his execution is as close to flawless as you get. here's a pic i'll share of a cue i designed for him that Ying Yih Wu purchased (wuscues.com).

I know my Kikel's a helluva cue.

Rauenzahn

I recently had a very positive experience with Jerry Rauenzahn.

Jerry took the time to answer all my questions, listened to my suggestions and educated me on what would and would not work. The cue hits great, the workmanship is A1, and he even beat the deadline by a couple of days.

Did I mention he saved the shaft portion of my Titlist, put a buckhorn ferrule, a Triangle tip and joint protector and sent it at no charge. I didn't ask for it and i had not seen anyone else with it before, so I really wasn't expecting it. I beleive that is how some cuemakers develop relationships with their customers. In my opinion they need us as much as we need them.

My family has sold automotive refinishing products for many many years, longer than I've been alive, I grew up around it. I personaly have been to many Product schools BASF/Diamont, Glasurit, PPG and a few others All of the clears used today are 2K or catalized (SP?) or at least any that would be used. Depending on application and method of cureing, Heat/infrared, air dry, humidity I feel all of the Clears out there are comparable they are all 2K

I've been out of the game for a couple of years but any Educated sprayer would probably say the same. Some might say one gets more brittle then others but it comes down to how was it applied.

JUST my 2 cents worth
