Remember pool on ESPN?!?!

The year before they played it in Santa Rosa, CA. CJ won the men's and Vivian won the women's, each player winning something like 50K. Then CJ played Vivian for an additional 40K and beat her easily. Nice score, something like 90K! For a moment ESPN did something big for pro pool. They just decided it was cheaper to produce their own event rather than send crews all over the country taping tournaments.

When CJ returned to Dallas he sent his pants to the cleaners with the $90K check in them! Luckily he got the check back.

Honest opinions are cool. Really guys!

I am new to AZ. Been reading this thread and alot of you seem to know what you are talking about. OK, this is the question. Well, actually 2 questions.

1. What do you think the reasons are for men players being at a totally different level than women.(for the most part)

2. And why do they televise more womens pool than mens????
(sponsorship??,etc.)

I was just a baby back then, but I remember my dad watching mens pool on TV. He loved it!!!
He watches the women now. He says he stills enjoys it, but its not the same.
I am a woman player. I think the woman pros are fantastic, but the pro men are like heaven to watch. They are all so talented
