On May 1st Fred (Steady Freddy Passed) For years he was a regular at Saturday Tournament at Shooters in Riverside ,Ca. He told me once the only practice he got was the hour of free play before the Tournament and he still played and "A" game most of the time. A good man too young to die. He will be missed. RIP

freddy loved pool and was a great guy . i knew freddy for 20 years and never once saw him ever get out of line with anyone. he was a soft spoken man, and carried himself quite well. i was saddened when i heard the news.freddy won two of our thanksgiving weekend turkey shootouts, he played pretty sporty for a weekend warrior. if every pool player conducted themselves like fred jarvis it would be a greater sport. gary henry owner of garys victorville billiards.

Very sorry to hear this news. I've known Fred over 30 years and he's always been Aces in my book. Fred was a knowledgeable player and refereed at several major tournaments in the 80's and 90's. Thanks Fred for being one of the GOOD guys!

Remembering Freddy

I have only known Freddy for about 8 years.

He was a class guy. No whining about bad rolls on the table or in life.

He will be truly missed by those who knew him.

Freddy could cut the paint off a ball. He didn't say much-he just played. It wasn't a good idea to leave Fred much.

And he had a great laugh.

Miss ya Fred.

PS: there is talk of a memorial tournament taking place. I think many would like to participate.
