Reminder Mosconi cup

Thorpe breaks, makes the 3 and has the one in the side. Pretty open table but the 6-7 are tied up.

Made the 4, curious what he's going to do with the 6-7.

He was able to get behind the 6 and played safe. Easy hit for Shaw.

He kicked the 6 and almost scratched. Should be out. Has 8 and 9 left.

Stop shot safe?

That's what I thought he would try. I would've tried leaving on the side rail just below the side and bank the 6 out of there. Not sure if it would've worked but Thorpe's idea didn't quite pan out either.

Shaw breaks and makes the 1 and 3, 2 sitting in corner, everything looks open. Should be on the hill.

Yeah, doesn't sound like he snugged the CB up against the 7 after he played safe.

Shaw runs it and is on the hill.

Thorpe breaking down 2-4.

He didn't get the angle for a stop shot. He played a good shot but the 6 needed to go about 4 more inches as it parked right by the side pocket. 4-6 inches down the rail and Shaw doesn't make it in the side and it's infinitely harder to make or leave Thorpe hooked.

In the last picture I posted Thorpe had the CB about 4-6" below the 6 so full hit on the 6 moves the 7. I would've tried that and then try parking the CB on the end rail.

Not sure what happened but Shaw had a jump and missed. Thorpe pockets the 1. Not sure about the 4 ball.

Combo'd the 8 and got hooked on 4.

Jumped the 9 and made the 4! Has an OK shot on the...

Crap, he rattled the 6.

Thorpe makes it and draws straight back for the 9!

Shaw up 4-3.

Shaw breaking.

Shaw breaks and makes the 4 and 7. Pretty open table, could be in trouble.
