remove a logo from a bitt cap

How do i remove a logo from a brunwick cue.
I put it in my lathe and tried sanding but no luck

Hopefully he stops when the logo disappears. If it is a transfer it should be gone when the finish it gone. If it is engraved it is probably not very deep.

How does sanding it ruin the cue? It may make you have to refinish the butt plate, but that goes with the territory.

You are going to have a very small butt cap. The logo looks like it was cast into the cap.

Yes, with an unusual "Custom made buttcap"

In all likelihood, the cue will have (had) more value in it's original condition.
