What's the best way to get blue chalk off of red Simonis 860? And what's the best way to clean lint and stuff off? Brush? Vacuum?

Lightly brush towards the rack spot. Vacuum the whole table. After that use a damp microfiber towel on the chalk marks. Then get some red chalk. You still need to clean the cloth but the chalk won't be as noticeable.

Get you some high school chalk board erasers, the kind for erasing chalk on a chalk board. Then just erase the chalk marks on the cloth with them...LOL, I'm not kidding.

Please don't bash me for this but... In every pool room i go to, IMHO the employees do not know how to effectively brush or clean a table. I've seen numerous ppl simply wipe the table with brushes, which does nothing but move the dirt around and probably helps it settle under the cloth. I was raised to use an upward swooping motion towards the rack area which gets some of the chalk dust in the air while pushin the dirt down table to a pocket works well. But I dunno.

Would someone knowledgeable here be so kind as to post a simple instructional video on the proper way to brush and then vacuuming a table? I know it's an odd request, but there are videos on everything except proper table maintenance. Also I'd like to learn the correct way too. :)
 
I recommend a good brushing from head to foot once a month (especially for woolen cloth). Light vaccuuming in between brushing when needed to get dust and chaulk off the table. When you say lint, are you referring to cloth pill, if so brushing will make the problem worse.

I'm not sure what the lint is. I just bought the table and it was not kept clean. I brushed it with a horsehair brush and vaccumed it. That seemed to work pretty well. I then soaked the cloth down with water and let it dry for a day.That seemed to shrink it and tighten it up better. I also bought some red masters chalk. So no more blue marks on the red cloth. The water trick was told to me by a mechanic that I met. Seems to work pretty good.
