Removing threads.

Is it possible to remove certain post from a thread instead of closing it?
It's seem a little unfair that this happens .
Need a different solution for the troubled ones.

Yes they have in the past removed posts from threads.
It depends on who is saying something that is out of line,
and who's thread it is/was to start with it seems.

As in some just posts are removed, some the threads are
just moved, and then some threads just disappear all together.

I would like to see just posts removed instead of whole threads.
Also I would like to see things done in a fair and even handed manner.

I agree, just nuke the offending posts. The threads themselves have value.
Lock them if all that value has been milked from the thread and now it's just people arguing
and posting jokes. But don't delete anything.

That's terrible. It was a great read before it fell into a mud slinging contest in the comments. Hopefully he has it saved somewhere and can at least re-post the story as a blog.
