Nothing aesthetically, they just take about twice as many rep points to achieve. I once thought it was double, but every other dot seems to take twice as much as others of the same color. Best to just shoot for the full boat and be done with it heh.

I tried to give some out but apparently I have given too much out in the last 24 hours.

I know I have... I stick it out in an adversarial environment simply because of the comments I get in my rep box and PM's.. if you only read the posts... the big kids on the block hate me...... but the quiet ones... with suprizingly high rep bars... agree with me.. and that encouragement has kept me speaking my mind... when more "popular people" disagree with me.

rep means nothing... make your point and stand behind it.

I don't get the big deal about rep. I give it out as thanks or to show appreciation for a post. If you want to accumulate a bunch of meaningless, little dots, play Pac-Man :D
