Repair cut in Simonis made with a knife?

What should I do with this cut? Its on 4 year old Simonis 860, that is still in great shape. I searched the past threads, and the options I came across were either leave it alone, super glue it, or sew it. The consensus was to leave it alone, but those were mostly for tiny cuts made from normal play. Will my situation be better served with a repair?

For small holes I use Gorilla Glue. Using a toothpick I dampen the cloth edges with the glue only (no water)
and let it set up until sticky. The glue swells slightly and I then use a ball to tap the raised edges down flat.

You have quite a cut there. My method could work if you could pull the cloth toward the cut from both sides
and secure it in that position. After the Gorilla Glue sets up it's strong as it's intertwined into the cloth fibers.

Repairing a nick in the cloth is one thing, that's an 1 1/2" long cut. Replacement is the repair for that one.

I'm not a mechanic but I've repaired 4 pretty bad rips with a suture needle... If you're on the fence about replacing it anyway, why not try it? You can always take the thread out if you find it bothersome. Get light duty blue thread, use a continuous stitching pattern, then roll it out with a ball. It's really not that hard.
