Chris Hightower makes cues, lives in the Atlanta area and posts here under Cueman. I don't know if he still does repairs, but you might PM him. Also, Danny Tibbits makes great cues and did some "fine tuning" of 3 cues for me about 2 years ago. He is northwest of Atlanta, but I hear that he is not taking on any more business.Jersey said:Hey ATL AZB'ers,
Anybody got a cue guy whose work they would swear by?...any out-of-towners who pass thru ATL and know someone?...any referals would be greatly appreciated.
Thx,
Jersey~

Chris's website is www.cuesmith.com. I don't think Danny's is up any more. It used to be www.tibbittscustomcues.com.

Kevin is in Acworth and works out of his home. He is in the phone book. Danny is in Woodstock and is in the book also. Both are closer to you than I am. I am over 45 minutes from Marietta in Aragon. I take home a little cue work from the tournaments in Marietta at The Pool Room, but they usually have to wait until the next Monday night for me to bring it back.Jersey said:hey man...where can I catch up with him?...does he work any local rooms?
Atlanta area does indeed have a lot of Cue Repairmen as well as some cuemakes. Danny, Kevin and myself have all been building cues since the 80's and are by no means the only ones. There are many repairmen around that can so simple stuff like tips and ferrules. I guess I have sold lathes to people who have them in several rooms aroung Atlanta. The Pool Room, Mr Cues 2, Atlanta Billiards, and Tara Billiards are a few that I know have lathes to do simple cue work in house, plus there are several more who work out of their homes.MrLucky said:Extremely informative ! I did not know there were so many good cuemakers and cue repair people available so close to home I usually wait for the tournaments to come through Mr CUES and see whatever pro repair cue person is traveling with the tour! Thanks! Phil![]()
