That was back in my lurking days. The rep thing was a lot of fun to watch when it first started. If you put your cursor over the greenies, most everyone will get something that says "you have a reputation beyond repute". When it first started and you had to build up greenies, the saying would change with every few hundred points. Learning the new sayings along with how many greenies were possible was a fun time on the forum. That was before NPR was a political forum and more regular members posted there.

In the same cuetechasaurus thread someone posted this pic that shows the different points level and what the saying would be when you put your mouse over the greenies.

Ah, the good ole days.

There were some entertaining threads back when everyone was learning the system.

It would be nice if everyone was reset to zero, except those that have passed. Smorg, Breakup, OHB, Raist, Paul Mon and a few others would be at the very top and stay there. Everyone else would earn each green box and rep point step by step like the forum "old timers" had to do.

Naah, only the Evil Overlord was the proper one to lead the charge anyway. These days it is the Evil Overlordess, Queen of Rep. Maybe we can corrupt Trigger! Nobody can really be that nice, gotta be a trick.
