Resolution between Skip Weston and Salamander

To Whom it May Concern,

I promised Skip that I would post a message to the AZbilliard community notifying people if a resolution had been reached regarding two shafts that Skip Weston re-built for me. For those of you that are not familiar with this saga, two years ago Skip built two shafts for a Southwest cue that I have. Unfortunately, there were many problems with the shafts and, at the time, there there was not a resolution to the work done. Skip contends that I never asked him to fix them, I claim otherwise. It is possible that there was a breakdown in communication between Skip Weston and myself. At any rate, the result was that I felt that I had been sold two badly made shafts and that Skip would not remedy the situation. At that time, I voiced my complaints on AZbilliards.

Flash forward two years....

Skip Weston and I renewed communication and Skip offered to look at the shafts and if problems were found, to fix them. Skip determined that the shafts could not be "salvaged", and offered to make two new ones. I recently received the two new shafts and am happy to say that the problems that I had with the shafts have been fixed. I appreciate that Skip finally came through and made amends, even though it was two years in the making.

Regards,

Doug

wrong forum. unless your selling your southwest??

Not really the wrong forum. The problem started in the for sale section... ie. the sale of two shafts. This is where the discussion of the issues took place and this is where it needed to be resolved.

Thanks,

Doug

Not Really!

Salamander WANTED everyone to know! J/K
Skip is a very forgiving and professional person that cares a great deal about the cues that carry his name. Believe me when I say he went WAY over the top to help me on several occasions. He is a gentleman of outstanding caliber and I am very happy to see this conclusion.

Glad to hear things are worked out. Let's keep those shafts well fed...we don't want them getting anorexic !!! :)

Glad to hear there was a good wind-up Doug and that you find the replacement shafts acceptable. Hats off to Skip Weston for going the extra mile.

Glad to hear that all turned out well, but 2 years??? I would be, to say the least, a little on edge if it took that long to resolve such an issue.

If you don't ask for any corrective action, what's someone to do....read your mind ?? I, too, am glad this worked out, but it's evident that communication between the two parties wasn't where it needed to be.

Like I said, I don't know all of the details. I'd be on the phone regularly if it were me.

Let's please not go there. There was a great deal of communication on my part and it was not necessary to read minds. Skip was well aware of my disatisfaction early on. He was also aware of my disatisfaction through AZbilliards.

I'm not sure why it took two years to resolve, but I happy to get two shafts that are playable. Skip and I are both tired of the whole issue so let's let it rest. Neither one of use wants to defend our side of this any longer.

Regards,

Doug
