Restoring A.E. Schmidt Cue

I posted this link quite a while back and I'm at the point that I think I will "refinish" this cue and make it into a "player" again. I'm not yet sure if I will keep the original look or change the butt sleeve up a bit and get rid of some of the "color" by putting a sleeve that matches the points and maybe leaving one red ring.

Anybody got any suggestions? I don't mind leaving the look the same, but I definitely want to slim the butt up some and make it look new again.

I would leave it looking the same. It is your cue and if you want to make it a modern player then I can't argue with slimming it down....but I would sure keep the overall look of the cue!


I really dig that cue and probably would want it in original condition myself.....
