Results ?

We have at least 3 USBA directors at this tournament. Why would anyone want to keep our members or anyone one interested in a USBA Tour Event informed or give updates.

Your expectations are way to high.
 
I called Merrill Hughes, USBA board member, who drove to MGM to gather some intel. He called back while driving home on the Long Island Expressway. The connection was bad and the traffic drowned out much of what he said. He spoke in clipped sentences but in a calm voice, like Murrow in London as the bombs fell. I pass on what I can.

He said that Pedro Piedrabuena is now playing Michael Kang in the finals. Pedro had not suffered a loss throughout the tournament, and Michael had just one. Miguel Torres faces off against Sonny Cho for third place. Other finalists included Mazin Shooni, Hugo Patino and Jim Shovak.

Merrill hopes to have complete charts up on his Face Book page later this evening or early tomorrow. Look for the Three Cushion Players group on "Merrill Hughes" Face Book. If he sends me any more info, I'll pass it on.

a few morsels

i was there very briefly on fri. and sun.

fri. games:
sonny beat hugo 25-4 in 13 innings. (hugo had just gotten back from colombia the previous night).
shovak beat mazin 25-19 or 20. shovak's first three innings were 1-7-3.
miguel had an eight inning game.
i believe michael kang beat pedro.

sun.:
not sure, but i believe there was a five man round-robin for 1-5 and another five man round-robin for 6-10.
michael had a run of 15 in a 30 point game that he won in 12 innings.

sorry if any of this info is wrong.
