Retirement Home League

Hello all,

Many years ago I successfully formed and ran a junior billiards program in Pasadena ISD in Pasadena Texas. This effort was made possible by the generous donations of many of the members here on AZ. I visited a retirement home today to make a fundraising video for its general operations. Most of my day to day work involves media for nonprofits. I am posting today to see if anyone has an old light, 2 or 3 lower end cues that are in decent shape and perhaps a rip of cloth to resurface an 8 foot table. I would be able to get you tax deduction info if you desire that. The plan is to spruce up the table and form a league for the residents. I will be giving them 1 evening a week. The primary intent is to just talk to them but I think getting them moving and playing pool would be an added benefit to them. The name of the place is St. Dominic Village in Houston Texas located off of Holcombe. I can provide character references if need be and/or verify that I am not a scammer.

Thanks,
Marcus

I have been able to get some support with a table light. Forgot to mention that I will cover shipping if anyone has some lower end cues they would like to donate.

Marcus, Send me a ship to address and I will send a package with some unexpected goodies.

Again thanks to all who contributed to this effort. In the words of a great poet "Way leads on to way" recently I visited a halfway house for men getting out of prison. The next project is to get a pool room going for them. They have the space and are interested.
