Revo Revo revo, part 2

I thin kit is amazing that a week ago you feel challenged to build this...and here it is. Can you say, ballpark figure, what you think you have tied up in this shaft? R&D, materials, Labor....

Sweet same here I have only been playing 10 years but I only like older cues or classic style stuff especially when it comes to a playing shaft lol. I tried a revo and just wasn't blown away. I don't hate the hit I hate the cost of them haha

Y’all gonna laugh but I got a “helicopter” rod...well a few of them they are for large saltwater fishing....very thick handle and reel, just on a 4’ or under wide rod

I’ve fixed rods before and one of the tips is broken and end I needed to fix but thought about removing all the eyes and making a ferrule on end....the finish is very smooth already....I think it would make a nasty trick jump cue.

Not sure what the illusion is, but you very first pic makes it look like the tip section gets wider. Someone else commented on it too. But the recent picture looks good! I like the looks of it. But does it play is the question?

If you can refine them, and keep them in the price range of say 200 bucks, I would buy one to try.

Also try different hardness tips. I like a Morri hard. Would like to know how the shaft feels and responds with a hard tip.

I just screw it up and its discolored.

Maybe the whole shaft needs to be discolored!!!!

If it gets smooth in the hands and is balanced (and it doesn’t crack), you might have yourself a winner.

And just for you, Chuck, if you ever find yourself scratching your head and wondering what someone outside the cue making industry would do with these materials, shoot me a PM. Assembly engineering of these types of materials is part of my real-world job. But I suspect you’ve got a CF and material guy in your pocket, and you’re all set. But you never know.

Freddie <~~~ CF can be a CF

I think i might

I dont like the color. I am going to see if i can make one in a lighter color, like tan or silver.

How smooth does it feel? That’s one thing I noticed about the Revo. It feels like playing with a glove on when you’re not.
