Revo shaft now available for purchase

Very confused on how people can argue high deflection shafts are just as easy as low deflection.

There must be a point where its very difficult to play if a shaft deflected a lot. Imagine trying to play with a cue that deflected 8 inches over 9 feet with side spin. Compared to if you could have close to zero deflection like the Revo. If anything playing with a high deflection cue just eliminates certain high english shots at long distance.

I got my 12.4 on Saturday and played with it for several hours yesterday. First thing I noticed is it had a different sound and feel then the 12.9 I own. Even tho they both have the Kamui super soft clear on them. The 12.4 had a stiffer hit and a crisp hit to it. And I feel has less deflection then the 12.9. As an example. A 70 degree cut shot with extreme inside English to bring cue ball back to u 3 rails. U can aim on the edge and fire and not really have to compensate for swerve deflection etc. really amazing. To be able to aim where u want to hit o.b. With English and have very little adjustment outside where u want to hit o.b.

What joint do you have? I'm looking forward to mine as I will be getting it on Monday. I feel that the 12.9 was muted & softer than the Vantage which got me disappointed.

First of all, not the Revo nor or any other shaft has zero deflection.

Second, since you have to compensate anyway it doesn't matter in the long run. Just get used to it and you're fine.

At least with solid maple you're not getting a muted hit.

Logic does not apply, gotcha

500.00 for a carbon fiber shaft out of china is BS.
Cheapest SOB on the face of the earth when it comes down to making things .
That nation is know for producing products that make junk look good .

When I wrote my reply Lucasi cues were at the top of mind.
Because I know not all there shafts warp and they are made in China now ..
I don't know if the company started there or not .

I knew someone would chime in and say they have a Lucasi and the shaft is straight .
I am glade for you... but most of the other cues coming out of china cant say the same thing ...

China has no issue producing knock off products child labor and watching its own people stave and ripping of other businesses logos designs and trade marks .

No one that makes Solid maple shafts need to pay someone to play with it ..
Only the LD shaft makers ,,, need to buy people into using there shafts ..

All shafts have deflection , and there isn't a shaft made that has so much deflection it can be adjusted for ..
This all about adjusting for deflection ..
The pool players 40 years ago are just as good as the players today ..

This is all a gimmick, because Most all china based cue companies have never been able to mass produce a Descent solid maple shaft and be able to keep the shaft straight .....

I am not interested in any products coming out of china ..

If you ever stop blabbing for a second you might try reading a little! The Revo shafts are made in USA! In Boston Massachusetts

Why is it for you so unbelievable hard to understand that not all people like the same things?

Some people like rock, some rap, some classical, some electronic.
Some people like low deflection, some others like high deflection.
Some people like the feel of a solid maple, some actually like the hit of a low deflection.

Get over it.

When was the last time you found a subject that 100% of the population of this earth agreed that they all like it? Let my help you with that: NEVER.

Again, get over it.

What does any of this have to do with the fact that all shafts have some deflection?

I do not care how careful you are with your cue, eventually, some how, some way you're going to ding the shaft.

I've been playing for over 40 years. I know how to carefully handle a cue. And I try and take extraordinary care with the two Ginas I play with. But, alas, I have still managed to put dings in the shafts. Dings happen. And I am thankful that I can get them out with a little boiling water and a Q-tip.

With these black shafts... I think you're looking at Bondo.

wood shafts rule

Hey everyone look at me, I have two Gina cues!

Ain't nobody using bondo on any cue, ever. That type of material has very little chance of getting damaged from normal use, even if your playing reckless on a black crown from the scorekeepers on the short rail. The revo shaft plays awesome, but I'm not into the colour. I love wood. (I have no choice, it's my wife's mating name). Or maiden name as some say

I've been playing with mine daily, for the past 10 months...the 12.9, and I love it. Just yesterday I received notication that I'll be testing the new 12.4 shaft and a prototype of the new Revo break shaft. I look forward to playing with both of them.

I’m a BK3 believer and would love to have a nick/dent resistant, super smooth, powerful break shaft with zero maintenance. I’m curious, Why are they asking for testing of the 12.4 shaft, As it’s already publicly available? Possible Review?

Warning. Do not buy a REVO cue or shaft. You might like it and buy 2nd one. I'm ordering one for an LE4 Predator with a radial joint. Let the hate mail and death threats carry on.

I saw the picture of the "ding" but I'm curious as to how that happened. Do the carbon fiber revo shafts dent or ding with normal use? I'm assuming no but I'm willing to listen to people who may have evidence that they do. I'm very careful with my (hey look at me ) two southwests but they still get dings over time and I can't stand it.

I understand that everything will break with enough abuse but under normal conditions, will the revo shaft ding up? That's the question I'd like answered please.

Like I said, I've hit with a few of them now and I like they way they play. They don't feel dead or muted or anything like that.

As far as deflection goes, I would guess that less is better in the long run because once you're used to it, there's much less adjustment needed over the wide variety of shots normally encountered in a game. It's just the re-calibration that I'm not looking forward to... if I go with the revo.

So far only read about 1 dinging (as per this thread). That does not look like a normal playing ding. Looks like a brick fell on it. However there are many opinions, comments and remarks by non Revo owners. Definitely ignore them until they buy and break one. I think it's safe to go ahead and get one.

the new set up...
