Terrible anticliactic finals for what was otherwise a great event with well fought matches. It seems after winning 12 straight games that a little sportsmanship may have even reared its head. Next year the "King" will at least deserve to be there waiting for his opponent.

What do you mean? Do I sense some bitterness on either player?

No, your senses are clearly off. What I meant (and said) is that after winning 12 straight games and realizing that he was making the finals of the King of the Hill pretty lopsided I could see Efren slowing down abit and letting Mike get a few games in order to let the audience see a little bit more of a "match".

Is that what it is?

How did you know that that was what Reyes had in mind going in the 2nd set even if he did win 12 straight games? What about Mike Siegel's effort to really try to make a comeback? Anyway, you don't really have to answer that.

I'm happy for Efren Reyes that he won and for Mike Siegel as well for being instrumental in making all this happen..

I bolded the word "may" for you so that you can better determine what I said.

I can't imagine Efren slowing down to make it closer. He knows Sigel could run a bunch of racks and tie it up. Efren had a dry break in rack 5 and Sigel ran out and had 2 BROs. Efren gave the table back in rack 9 and Sigel ran out and then BRO. Efren made a ball off the break in Rack 2 and 3 but didn't sink anything on his next shot, but I can't believe he was letting Sigel back to the table on purpose.

Tell me you're joking.

NOTHING Efren accomplished, or will still accomplish, will ever satisfy Celtic.

Efren wins, and Celtic questions his sportsmanship.

Look back to your posts, Celtic, and even you will realize how deep a shit you have sunk yourself into. Whenever Efren's achievements are mentioned in these forums, you pass up no chance to put Efren down, mocking at his gains and gloating at his losses, with all the sarcasm you could muster.

Open your eyes, Celtic, for there are none so blind as those who refuse to see.

Glad Reyes won..
But it might be great for tv....

That's another load of sarcastic crap from you, Celtic. By your own measure, your man Sigel, had he won, would not deserve to be "King" either?

If they were playing for a tin cup I might understand what you said.

But with $200,000 on the line I am sure that Efren wanted to win 16 in a row.

On top of that this now puts him as the King of the hill for next year. How much is that worth?

Your a moron. This years "King" was Sigel, thats why he was automatically in the finals. He got there by beating LJJ which was inept, I was right there saying so right along with anyone else. When I said "next years king will at least deserve to be there waiting for his opponent" I meant that the next "King" will not have been gifted the spot as Sigel was.

You seem to have some hate on for me and think I have this extreme dislike for Efren that is making you read things in my posts that simply is not there. I am not at all critical of Efren's performance or shocked he won this thing. I am critical of Sigel being there, and have said such numerous times in this very thread which seem to have blown right through your head like the wind through your ears. Sigel's my man? That is funny since I have been ticked off from the time I heard he was being gifted the finals due to his beating a washed up retired Loree Jon Jones and now after the finals are done and Sigel through up a brick and made the last match Efren had in the entire tournament the easiest of the bunch.

You clearly dont have a clue what I am saying on this thread and you have clearly not read much of my thoughts on Sigel in the last few months as to what transpired with the IPT. So please shut the hell up at least until you get a clue.

Efren is not next years king.

I was talking to a buddy earlier, and he mentioned that next years "KING" would be determined by the top prizemoney winner of the end of the next IPT season.

Whoever THAT person is, gets to sit and wait for the "king of the hill" tournament winner, to play him in the final match of that tournament.

I went and checked the IPT webisght, and that is indeed what it says.

So once 2006 starts, the slate is wiped clean.

Now that Reyes is on the throne the IPT finally has a worthy King.

Time will tell how long he will stay on the throne. Beating him will not be easy.

Celtic, when you call somebody names, at least please use correct grammer and spelling as a sign of curtesy to the object of your post.

Take it easy Red. Celtic wasn't blasting Efren at all. You just misunderstood him. Oh, and notice the above bold words.

It's grammar not grammer.

Though Sigel looked stiff, once he warmed up he looked very dangerous. Partlicularly because his break seems to be much better than Efren's. I wouldn't have been suprised if he ran a six pack. He shot an 8 pack in practice a couple of days before with people watching. No-one else managed over 4 or 5 as far as I know.

He was just a bit slow to get going...and his long shots and bank shots were dodgy.

As for Loree Jon Jones, she played some strong pool in the KotH beating Nick Van Den Burg, who just came back from 2nd in the WPA World 8-Ball Champs. She played much better here than when she played on TV against Mike. Her break is much better than Fisher's. She had a 20% BRO compared to Allison's 10%.
