Maybe he was being facetious. Why else would he misspell so many words in a 'spelling police' post. Normally I overlook spelling errors, but when the poster is trying to blast someone else for spelling, it is funny.

IPT Final match

I just got back home from the match and Efren beat Sigel easily.I think it comming so easy that he may of let up subconsciously. When Mike started to make his run Efren got back to business and blew him away.
I kept saying that Sigel was not tournament tested this week and even though he looked good in exhibition, its different then playing an opponement. When Efren won they brought out $200.000 in cash plus the trophy."very cool"
Bustamente,Manuelo, and Archer all played really well.I thought that Bustamante was going to the finals, but was upset my Mikain the finals. What a great week for pool.
It was amazing seeing pros like Allison asking for autographs from all the men players that were in the tournament.

No, your senses are clearly off. What I meant (and said) is that after winning 12 straight games and realizing that he was making the finals of the King of the Hill pretty lopsided I could see Efren slowing down abit and letting Mike get a few games in order to let the audience see a little bit more of a "match".

What an insult to a competitor.

Congratulations to Efren on the big payday! Honestly, I'm not surprised at all that Efren won so easily, no knock against Mike but Efren always brings his "A" game especially when there is big money on the line. I was also impressed with the play of Manalo, for a while it seemed like nobody was gonna stop this young phenom but that last group was a tough one.

Mohammed Ali and Suger Ray Leonard have been known to toy with thier opponents in the ring when they know they are in control. Ronnie O'Sullivan has been known to shoot entire matches opposite handed against weaker opponents just to challenge himself and because he can. I dont see how it is an insult to Efren if he is in such dominant control of a match to think he may take it down a notch and let his opponent get some table time for the sake of the audience. It is if anything a compliment to Efren. Now what it says for Sigel on the other hand... But I don't have alot of sympathy for a guy who has not even played any real tournaments coming into this IPT event in order to prepare. He skipped a recent US Open he had a paid entry into, he has skipped any chances at playing in pro level pool events to prepare his comeback. I am not surprised at all he was not ready to compete at the level required to do battle with Efren. He had best start playing some pro events beyond the IPT and get battle hardend for the future or he might as well quit now with his $250,000 gift.

EFren did deserve to win.....

however, you;ve got to remember that when Efren played his first round robin, he didn't do all that great, he barely slipped by with GLI to make to the next round.

That's all that happened with Mike. In his first round of the competition, he had a few quirks to work out and then tried to come back in the next match. He did a damn good job of it, but it turned out to be a little too little a little too late.

Considering everything, and the big money, this was not a huge upset, but just like I thought, Efren pulled it out.

I watched Johnny Archer play Francisco Galindo for ten grand a set in the nineties and neither one played all that terrific. When big money is on the line it becomes a different story.

Efren is the new "King of the Hill"? I thought many non-believers had already labelled him as "Over the Hill". :D

Anyways, MABUHAY King EFREN !!!! :)

How did you know that that was what Reyes had in mind going in the 2nd set even if he did win 12 straight games? What about Mike Siegel's effort to really try to make a comeback? Anyway, you don't really have to answer that.

I'm happy for Efren Reyes that he won and for Mike Siegel as well for being instrumental in making all this happen..

You had to be there. You would have agreed. Sigel played great for the 5 games he won. Three break and runs out of five racks. If Sigel hadn't gotten three horrendous rolls in the second set, I think he would have won that set. The three rolls unfortunately were due to the break. Efren broke dry twice and didn't leave Mike a shot at an out, and one of Mike's breaks got a late kiss from a ball that froze him on the head rail without a legitimate first shot to get the cosmo out he needed. Them's the breaks, and is the luck of 8-ball.

Efren clearly slowed down, and from the seats, we were able to call which ball he would dog, or at least not put forth his best effort. In fact his final miss, he was thinking about the shot at hand, a long straight shot down the rail (but not on rail) which would have given him an easy out, my neighbor whispered to me asking what I thought he was thinking about. I said, "he's wondering if he should jaw this ball, or miss it cleanly so that it's not blocking the pocket."

Efren missed it cleanly, but by the luck of pool fate, Mike still didn't have shot to get out. It might sound cynical, but I don't think I'm wrong on this. I think Efren didn't want to make fool of Mike.

I thought I was being sarcastic and using spelling errors to make a point.
I guess it was too subtle

Ha, I thought for a second that that may have been the case. Should've asked.

Sorry Gabber. Good lesson for the other kiddies though.
