Is Rhino Q-Loc the same as Uni-Loc ?
When I ordered a break shaft they were calling it a Uni-loc, maybe they changed the name because of trademark/patent issues. Is Rhino Q-Loc the same as Uni-Loc ?
Is it a tight and nice fit? Thinking of buying one myself. When I ordered a break shaft they were calling it a Uni-loc, maybe they changed the name because of trademark/patent issues.
Mine fit on a uni-loc butt fine.
Could have just done "Uniloc" or "UL quick release".'Uni-loc' is patented as is 'Radial' so they get it around the patent laws thusly.
If they're using Legitimate Uni loc parts. There's no issue.'Uni-loc' is patented as is 'Radial' so they get it around the patent laws thusly.
Yup! The price difference between the knock off's and the real ones is a few bucks, not worth ruining my reputation over..If they're using Legitimate Uni loc parts. There's no issue.
If they're not, then thiers a conflict. Knock offs on both are available, i tried the knock offs on the uni loc quick release inserts, 4 out of 20 were straight.
Trashed them!
Here we go again, another joint pin query which happens to involve Rhino. I recall them being unwilling to cooperate with the specs on their 3/8 x 14 joint. Maybe you charge a joint consulting service. Thanks for your input!!If they're using Legitimate Uni loc parts. There's no issue.

I know and like many other members appreciate your willingness to share and educate us all for the better…I remember that.
I just put the facts that I'm aware of.
Nothing more, nothing less.
It's all a pain in the ass, but WHEN Consumers are confused, questions arise.
I just try to explain it, SOMETIMES!

It will fit the Uniloc joint just fine. The only "issue" is that if your BK3 is the same joint collar diameter as my BK2, the shaft will be just slightly larger in joint diameter (~21.38mm vs. ~21.52mm on my equipment). At least in my case, there is a barely perceptible lip. I can only speak for myself, but it doesn't hamper breaking in any way.Hoping this Q-loc joint on this break shaft will fit my BK3
