Two words: cost.Rhino's new offer... Composite cues. Fiberglass??
Can't imagine why they went this route.
That's why I couldn't understand why they'd go this route. Doesn't make any sense. Those fiberglass shafts were bunk.Fiberglass cues came out relatively recently, just over forty years ago!![]()
No reason to make cf butts. Fiberglass is cheaper. That's why I couldn't understand why they'd go this route. Doesn't make any sense. Those fiberglass shafts were bunk.

It's the butt that is composite. The shaft is CF.That's what they're touting. Their new cue w composite shaft.
What is a composite cue butt?
Our cue butt is made of composite material, which is a mix of carbon fiber and glass fiber to achieve optimal balance, feel, and feedback.

Thank you for the assist!!They have a new line they're calling the "G-w Series" which has a "Premium Glass Fiber" shaft and composite butt, which is what I'm pretty sure OP is referring to:

Bread and circuses."Premium glass fiber"
To quote P.T Barnum: There's a sucker born every minute..
I have an Avid shaft myself. The few times that I have played with it, I have been somewhat impressed.Where do you see this? FYI carbon fiber is a composite. Also Cuetec's AVID line is a composite and it's not carbon fiber but hits and feels great.
Just got another email from rhino saying their new glass composite shaft is comparable to CF.I have an Avid shaft myself. The few times that I have played with it, I have been somewhat impressed.
They call it the G-shaft. Premium glass fiber. Supposed to play like wood with carbon fiber accuracy and reliability.Just got another email from rhino saying their new glass composite shaft is comparable to CF.
Anybody else see this??
You may want to approach them. A new company with a player like you behind their products?? Hell yeah.Make them affordable and I will review cues in YouTube.
Unless our sponsors want to donate one to me.
It will be very in-depth and they can use my content as promotion.
I hope it works for them as well. I had both the AVID, and a Jacoby Black at one time. Nothing against the Jacoby shaft, but I honestly enjoyed the AVID enough that I sold the Black.Just got another email from rhino saying their new glass composite shaft is comparable to CF.
