I have a very nice Richard Black I am selling. The cue has 4 points, maroon, beige, and green veneers. Looks like birdseye maple forearm and stainless steal joint. The cue has been refinished (I don't know who did the work) and the signature has been taken off. I contacted Richard and he assured me it was one of his as well as the 2 original shafts. It also comes with a 3rd matching shaft made by Chris Nitti. I looked the cue over and can see nothing wrong, with the exception of a little wear around the butt next to the bumper. If the cue doesn't sell I would replace the wrap also. My price is $1300 shipped in the USA. Please pm or email me for info or more photos. Just to be on the safe side I am going to say all the shafts have a slight roll/wobble that does not effect their play.
Tom

Butt: 15 3/8 oz 29 in
Shaft 1: 12.5 mm 3 7/8 oz 29 in
Shaft 2: 12.5 mm 3 3/4 oz 28 1/2 in
Shaft 3: 12.9 mm 4 1/4 oz 29 3/8 in

You should get Richard to write a LOA on the cue or send it to him and ask that he adds his signiture to it. It would probably be more likely to get your asking price with either of those two additions.

Need to have a LOA for sure, without that letter, no one knows 100%for sure what they are getting.
The forearm also appears to be BIRDSEYE MAPLE not curly maple. The price isnt bad but if I were you and have the cash, the cue needs a few things that would help the sale,I PROMISE. If I was interested in the cue I would do it myself and make a few bucks. First it needs a leather wrap, second it needs an ivory joint, and third it needs something small in the B/S and in the points,3dots in the points and french cut diamonds in the butt sleeve. All of this work HAS TO BE DONE BY RICHARD,for resale value. With a LOA of course. W/O the letter its not worth 1k, but with the stuff I said and a letter and if Richard did the work and added that in the LOA,then the cue would be in be in the2500-2750range in my opinion.and its only gunna be around 800$and for the up grades. Just a thought good luck

I'm interested. How did you contact Richard? If it was email, can you PM me the info?

Guys,

Personal advice on how to sell a cue or improve its value would be more appreciated if done via PM. Many sellers do not appreciate a thread being 'bumped' ahead of theirs by folks neither considering buying or selling.

Please respect everyone and use PM's when they will suffice.

Thanks for your help!

Final bump for the month, if this doesn't sell by Tue night by midnight, I am taking it off the market until I return from the Derby around the 11th of Feb. then I will decide to keep it or sell it. I just don't check my email when I am the Derby due to so much going on and the crazy hours that I stay up playing pool and poker. Good luck to everyone. Tom Harris 407-963-1010
