Cue was made by Richard Black for the 2001 Super Billiards Expo. The cue is one of 7 which spelled out Hopkins. K being the one shown. The butt does have some minor dings in it. Where the ebony meets the buttcap the finish doesn't look like it was done properly. Kind of hard to see it in the photos because they were done on my iphone and it does not have a flash. It's nothing major and could easily be fixed.

The shaft that it came with when I bought it I haven't used much. Would need a new tip. I recently bought an OB-1 shaft for the cue and will include it, if you're interested, for an additional $180.

I have never sold a cue before and I am not really sure what the market value of the cue is. I will entertain all reasonable offers inlcuding trades. I've recently been interested in acquiring a Sugartree sneaky as is everyone else apparently.

Forearm: Traditional ebony 4-point signed Richard Black 2001
Butt: Ebony with 2 Birdseye Maple inlays forming the letter K
Handle: Irish Linen Wrap
Joint: 5/16 x 14 ring
Weight: Butt 15.9oz / Shaft 3.9oz

Unfortunatley, the market is slow at this time, as everyone will agree; And this cue is more of a collectable cue and not so much a player. Their are collectors that have the entire collection of "HOPKINS" cues...that will be your best bet to get any action. Good Luck!

Are you saying that there is a collector of this series of Hopkins made by Richard Black or are there others?

Are you looking for any cues other than a Sugartree sneakie?

I'm interested in taking a look at whatever someone has to offer. If you could just PM me with what you have and possibly some pictures. Thanks.

Update...

I took the cue to poolhall today to roll it around on the table to see how level the butt and the shaft is. The butt is perfectly level as far as I could see. But I did find out the shaft has a bad roll. Never used it much. But I am including an OB1 that has about 5 hours of playing time.

I've recently became interested in Barnhart cues. So if you have one I would be interested in looking at it.

JCIN posted a thread of his Barnhart that he sold and I really like the look of it. If you have anything similar to this send it my way as well...

The cue is for sale or trade. Just make me an offer. I've never sold a cue before. And I do not know with the way the market is... what a fair price for the cue is. I'll consider all offers.

Hmmm

KOINNKID I really like that design. It's actually the same design JCIN was selling. Does Barnhart make a lot of cues with this same design?

I believe that is the one JCIN sold....It's a great looking cue though....even thought about buying it myself. Good luck!
