Right now the For Sale section is a joke

I don't like the new for sale section, the old way was fine
and easy to use. :(:(:(:(:(

Ya not a fan here either....Would be nice if the poster consolidated say 4 -5 items at least.
Also I would like not to have to drill into the wanted. As the way it was changed to.

Maybe get rid of Vbookie last used 2013 ???

I apologize for my bunch of threads.

I thought they were going ONLY on Panjo then I had to post in the FS forum.

I even checked and they weren't there and then they all PILED on at one time.

HOWEVER, IF I COULD'VE JUST BUMPED A FEW THREADS HERE AND THERE THIS WOULD NOT HAPPEN.

I try hard not to have more than 5-6 at a time.

Anyhow, sorry for the traffic.

I don't understand what Panjo has to do with AZ billiards?

Anyway, I like the idea of consolidating your cues on one ad. A lot of people do that and it's pretty effective. You do have some good stuff.

With Panjo its one item at a time. Very tedious.

Not sure people understand, hope I do. So posting on/or with Panjo which is part of CLASSIFIEDS above along with community, search, logout etc.. .
auto loads those post to the for sale forums. Also that the classifieds or single post so here lies the problem?

except I got tired of the overpriced cues that was at the top every 2 minutes because everyone like the wood combo... that was ridiculous. And it would stay there for weeks... nobody would by it mind you , but it hit a ton ;)

I can see by your ITrader, (zero) that you are a heavy Buyer/Seller.

If you're not doing either, why FKing whine about it.

Funny stuff here. The for sale site here is just like the Facebook sites.

Same sellers too!

Funny how they use the buddy system to bump up the threads and

give each other credit for being honest sellers.

:poke:

Most forums allow only 1 FS thread per user at a time. Sponsors get a separate section, or more threads.

My beef is with both selfish posters and the rules.

This works!!!

List all the items you want to sell on ONE thread, edit the thread as items sell, price change , new items are added, etc.

Only OP can bump thread in minimum of 48 hr increments.

…in the German Forums we are allowed only 5 items at the same time (which is totally okay).

5 items or 5 separate threads?

ONE thread per user at any given time is more than enough. Consolidate your various offerings to 1 thread. Only OP can bump, and only once every 48 hours. Nothing can be easier.

If you're a sponsor, you can post more threads, and/or have your own "commercial" section.

Highly educated poster here I see..Maybe mommy should wash your mouth out.

Others likely realize that this is a open discussion and that it is about the ease of use not how many bought..

If we start a 6th item, the oldest one closes automatically!!! :yeah:

AND:
no other people can bump your thread – so the „bet it's a good player“, „great guy“, „would buy it if I had the money“ and other bumpedys won't happen! :idea2:

This is a great thing, cause if someone's interested, he can contact you by PM!

This would be a HUGE step in the right direction.

Personally I don't care for consolidating multiple items onto one thread, and that is definitely not the problem.
Next people will be complaining about multiple items (4 or 5) on multiple threads (40 or 50) with same group of cues in various combinations with different pics & prices.
No matter what happens, people will figure out ways to bend the rules, and the more rules, the more loopholes, and more aggravation.
The real problem is the people who chose to ignore the rules, and the people who don't follow the rules because they feel entitled...you know who you are

The original problem was other members commenting on the cue threads, that have been on the front page for weeks, with no intent to buy. Replying to the thread was meant for inquiries about purchasing the cue, not for the thread starter's buddies to say that the cue is pretty.

I love it when someone would list a cue as "test hit" and "only chalked once." Then their buddy comes along and says how well the cue plays (lights out of course) and how it "hits a ton!"

Don't forget "jam-up" :grin-square:

I don't see how we got to this point really. All that needed to be done was disable commenting in the WFS threads, limit bumping to every 48 hours, and ideally limit number of threads in WFS to some number like 5 per person at a time, as people have said already.

Surely there is a way to put a temporary lock on threads in the same way that the site makes you wait 30 seconds between posts? Just make the wait period for WFS threads 48 hours.

I really don't understand why or how this Panjo thing came about here, and why we couldn't fix the issue with a few simple tweaks in the interface.

What the "buddy" meant to say was "good seller", but he got he got confused due to a psychosis knows as UBS or Uncontrolled Bumping Syndrome

It definitely feels like someone was sold "the Panjo machine". I'm pretty familiar with tech sites and I've never heard of Panjo until AZ brought it.

It's a neat idea that other folks OUTSIDE of AZ see these posts but I don't think it fits well here.

If you could click submit new post then choose through Panjo or standard AZ it would be better. However with Panjo EVERY SINGLE item has to be separate.

I personally think that bumping every 48 hours is good as well as limiting to 5 posts per user IF they upgrade to the Gold membership. Without Gold membership do 1 post per person.

It's not rocket science. The higher ups should be speaking with other forum owners not companies trying to sell a completely separate but then after the fact integrated system.

There are LOADS of other forums managing WAY more users much more effectively.

It's simply a rules based software system that is customized a little to cater to the nature of our business.
