In a tragic accident yesterday, Brett Colucci of Waterbury, CT was killed when a 93 yo driver drove into him as he was performing his job as a traffic control flagman for a private company doing work in Somers, CT. He was 52.

I would see Brett often at local tournaments. He was ever-enthusiastic about pool gear, always asking me what I had in my case and showing me what his latest acquisitions were. He was a regular attendee at SBE for many years.

He was a good guy and will undoubtedly be missed by many.

My sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Life is already challenging enough without this horrible kind of stuff.
Brett's life was stolen but the 93 yr old driver goes on......really _ucked up.

Any loss of life is indeed tragic but this was needless and avoidable.
At 93 yrs old, the driver's locomotive skills were severely diminished.

Now the family and friends of the Colucci family have to cope with a
terrible outcome and at 52 years old, Brett's life was ended was too early.

My deepest condolences to Brett's family and friends.
