RIP John "Monster John" Rouse

It's been awhile

Hello everyone.

Life has been super crazy and busy for me lately and I'm posting this waaaay later than I anticipated but here is a picture of the headstone. I have to thank my friend Gary K for helping me so much to get this done and all the great folks that donated. I know John would have appreciated it so much. It was installed back in October. You guys really made my day when I met the goal to get this made...now onto my next project starting a non profit for the retirement of senior professional pool players who are on hard times, whose with me? :D

my condolences to John

A very pure bank pool player, also a good guy to compete against - just a great player, I am glad I had the chance to mix it up with playing bumps.

Awesome fella, great player.
I got to play on a 5 man Team with him once down in Florida in a tourney event.
That was very fun and we obviously got the cabbage, led by John.

That Headstone is just beautiful!

The first time i ever seen Monster John was at dcc 2010, to me John had a look to him as someone you didnt want to mess with on a pool table, and i had no idea who he was (he would of been the last man there before i would of asked him to gamble) oh i ask and soon found out who John was, just like i though, one of the ones i dont want to play!

I wish i would of seen him play someone else 1 pocket at the derby, but i really didnt have to because i was told how great of a player John was - is!

I heard nothing but real good things about this man!

Oh and i was right, he wasnt the one to be fooled with on the pool tables, but somehow Monster Johns looks gave him away, to me atleased!

Rest in peace Brother!

John was always a class act, He supported my events on many occasions and I did battle with him a few times.
He was a great guy on and off the table. if there were only more players like him the game would be in a much better place. He will be missed I wish his family all the best.

The grave Stone is amazing and a very fitting tribute to a great guy.

RIP John

This is from my good friend Thomas who knew John:

From your friend Thomas Roberts. John you were one of the greatest money players and one of the greatest pool players of all time, like Muhammad Ali.

You will be greatly missed and always remembered.

Your friend Thomas. Hopefully one day I will be able to reach your status playing for the cash.

May your soul always be at peace brother.
