i remember him now, he was very cool. We used to talk on the phone sometimes. He finished high school right when I left Stockton. I had no idea until just now he was gone.

Just revisiting this thread. When Sam and I weren't playing we watched HOURS of accu-stats dvds on a daily basis. I've been watching more and more - analyzing and learning and it's just taking me back to those days.

It's nice having this thread to revisit and talk about Sam. Miss you buddy.

He was a great guy. He used to call me every once in a while. I came up in pool starting in Stockton. He always asked me questions about pool before he started playing. Stockton was a pretty good pool town in the 80’s still. In the late 60’s and early 70’s it was super strong.

I wasn’t here on AZB for years then saw he had passed. Terrible. I wonder wtf really happened. Sad situation for sure. Should have worked out better for him.
