What was the result from Labor Day finals at the Shoother's tourney?

1. Ernesto D. $2,400
2. Mitch Ellerman $1,400
3. Tang Hoa $1,000

That's all I know for sure.

Shane Manole?

Does anyone know who the kid is that beat Shane Manole last year at Shooters in the first round of the Labor Day tourney? I think the score was 9-2.

Jay,
Thanks.
I didn't go back on Labor Day - the guy that I was sweating was out on Saturday.

I hope you made out on the calcutta - you didn't buy Ernesto this year.

I tried to buy Ernesto, Morro and Tang but got outbid. So I went home.

Was there for the Earthquake on Sunday morning. BOOM!! And the whole motel shook like a leaf. It was over in seconds thank God. Felt a lot stronger than 4.7 which they said it was.

That's me! Tall, dark and handsome and VERY YOUNG, only 39! And don't you forget it!

There is some other guy who is short, fat and bald claiming to be me. One day I will catch up with him, and .......

I liked Ernesto's game - Was he on the hot seat? I am surprised that Deo didn't finish in the top 3 - he was on fire Sunday as was Tang. The second place went to one of the Az players?

I too felt the quake from my motel at around 10:30. Alot of the players that were driving up then didn't. It was over in a second or two - We Angelinos have experienced much more as you know.

Yes, Ernesto was in the hot seat. He beat Tang pretty handily for it.

Deo was playing very well the first 2 days, but his play seemed to slow down on the third day. It was a long 3 days... maybe fatigue played a factor.

Second place went to Mitch Ellerman... he was one of the players from AZ. Congratulations to Mitch for stepping up and playing so well. And also a big congrats to Ernesto, he was playing on a different level the whole tournament.

And we just had a 4.5 a few weeks ago also. Two 4.0+ quakes in a small time span, makes me worry a bit.

I asked Shane and he doesn't remember. Sorry.
