i was just kinda wondering what road players do when they go broke on the road. i am sure this has happend more than a few times to the "road warriors".

Western Union...pase la wire holmes...or get a walking stick from the guy who busted them. Say theyre down to their last couple bucks, they just don't pay out in full and get the hell outta there. Maybe pay 900 of the 1000 they lost and get home with the 100.

Actually, you borrow at EVERY stop even if you are flush, if you're some I know. I once asked a player how he did at the US Open. His answer, "Well, I got my entry fee staked. Lost my first match and slept through my next one. It's OK though. I borrowed $500."

lol that was so wrong. Besides everyone knows that one doesnt work

and when your broke call the wife and have her hit the western union, i didnt marry her for her cooking

Why is that so wrong? I don't get it. Question was asked, and I thought up a solution.

Okay, let me edit my response to say twenty pounds. Better?

Road rules

Fill up gas tank at every new town, never put all clothes in one cleaners, put a change in a different one. NO AIR BARRELLS. Don't be stupid enough to get broke miles away from home.
ROD.

not to get away from the first topic but who u guys think are the best road players my vote would have to be ronnie wiseman or richie richeson but that might be biased im from michigan lol

The very best road player is the one you never heard of. By the time we find out his name, he won't be the best anymore.

Road Players n Pumpin-Up

I'm not speaking for all road players but for my self and a few others I know, have friends virtually in every big city and small town in most of all the states that they do their pool playing, so getting a stake may be embarrassing for some (not to others) but can be done rather handily.

I've never been one to proud to play some two-dollar pool, its fun and you can play wide open all you want without being accused of being a Hustler, and you never know when the next game may be for $20, or $50.00 in a challenge game in a bar, I personal love it!

I use to go broke alot but I don't care much for that, keep a nest egg hide away and knowing when to quit a person is smart, so get off that game and go to the next.

I really never have liked getting staked, but will let someone on occasion stake me, like to play on my own Money!

The cycle of having money on the road is a never ending up and down thing, if you love pool it won't bother ya!
