Roadtrip Las Vegas - New York

I am considering going to Las Vegas in December at the King of the Hill event and the Tour Card Qualifier, and was thinking of maybe drive from Las Vegas to New York afterwards.

I have no idea of how many days a trip like that will last, and I know nothing about places that I as a poolfan should go to, so if anyone want to share some advice, ideas and experinces, please let me know!

I'd just remind you that you'd be driving through the Rocky's and along the Great Lakes in winter. Not a big deal (especially for somebody from Norway), but don't forget to factor that in your trip. If you're a skier and have the time, you may want to think about visiting the big western resorts in New Mexico and/or Colorado. I'll let people from the various regions along the way chime in on availability of pool along the way.

Roy,
You shouldn't miss "Betmore's Basement" here in Indy. Free room, free board, free pool. Let me know if you need a place to stop/stay on your way to NYC (I'm about 8 miles off the interstate highway).

You could also stop by the Billiards Bullpen in Collinsville, Illinois (Mark Wilson's poolhall/billiards academy). It's just a couple of miles off of the interstate highway, just past St. Louis.

It's 2600 Miles- You are pretty much driving across the entire country. It could be done in 35 hours with bathroom stops only-not much faster. How much do you want to drive each day, that is the question. Decide that, go to Mapquest and get a route-See what cities you will be passing through and how you want to hit them and ask questions.

You can also use playpool.com which has a "pool hall finder" feature but you have to call ahead to confirm as the database is old and many have closed.
