Robin Bell-Dodson and Loree Jon Jones on the Chevy Chase show

Chevy Chase Show

Nice post of the ladies on TV.
I love serious pool. I love trick shots.
I just wish the masses could appreciate the game for what it is—it's NOT trick shots.

Not sure though if that's possible. Is it possible to get a professional to lay out a rack and simply run out the balls. I mean, Willie Mosconi did it on the game show with Bill Cullen back when, albeit he also did a trick shot or two.

Can we not entertain the uninitiated with just running balls or is it the true pool fan/player who will only accept this?

The problem is "anyone" thinks they can make a ball or run out and the Pros make it look so easy while running out.

I hate trick shots.

Oh well.

I think I'm the only guy who enjoyed that show with Chevy Chase hosting,

Great clip,!!!

Alan,
Wow, I remember that show. It only lasted like 5 weeks if that. Chevy Chase was so bad, one night the guest had to take over for him because he began to sweat horribly and looked like he was having a panic attack.
He must have been the worst late night host in the history of late night hosts. He said later that Johnny Carson told him not to do it, it was maybe the hardest job in show business.

interesting

Thanks for the link:

What surprised me a little was that I thought it was such a long time ago...
...but Robin Bell had already produced her jump cue called "the Frog".....

Guess I didn't realize how long "jump" cues have been around....time sure flies......
