Rodney Morris in Manila

Where the hell did this "Boots" chick come from? I follow the PI pool scene pretty well and never heard of her. Johnnyt

sorry for the confusion. i think ralf won one match and then lost twice in the losers' side.

This just proves how good the new pinoy players are if Souquet did not even reach the final 16 and Biado and Orcullo were eliminated by virtual unknowns. Of the final 4, the only name I recognize is Johann Chua.

So who won the tournament?

Tough pool

I can't imagine a tougher place to win then "Pinoy Land". Good for Rodney for trying.

Arnel Bautista over Resty Labastida
Boots Augusto over Johann Chua
Arnel B. over Boots A. in the finals. $5,000 for 1st $3,000 for 2nd.

Rodney beat Orcollo in the US open 10 ball finals in 2013- so he can clearly he is capable of beating anybody in the world and cashing. Do people really question his talent level?

Rodney and Ralf are top players, but they won't win tournaments filled with Pinoys on their own turf. The PI could bring 5 teams to the MC they are so deep with talent. Johnnyt

Arnel and Boots, two more examples of the hidden talent over here. My advice to a young, up and coming player, come to the Philippines and play every day for six months! Worked pretty good for John Morra. His game went up two speeds.

saw John Morra play last night at One Side billiards in Malate, Manila. He won a money game against a tough pinoy player, Jech Limen

Sounds like great advice. Would be awesome experience. I visited in 1994 while in navy but did not play pool

i watched the Boots Augusto vs Carlo Biado match on the venue. Boots won 9-5. He was more aggressive and he really outplayed Biado. i think he ran all his breaks too.
