Rodney shows up in Reno

He is part of Dragon still I assume. No one thinks he has a chance of having those guys boycott? Mika, Raj, CW etc?

They would probably consider the situation and realize that Rodney is simply and clearly in the wrong. He badmouthed a man who just paid him $15,000.

Mark could shut those guys down permanently by just threatening to 1099 them.

How do you know he didn't call Mark?

This is about respect. Rodney should consider it as his entry fee. When he gets some, maybe in the future, he'll be allowed to participate. Until then, Mark has made a business decision that doesn't include Rodney.

Um, ok, so he either:

- didn't call mark, showed up, got thrown out.

- did call mark, was told not to show, and showed up anyways, got thrown out.

No matter what, his decision to show up obviously didn't agree with Mark, and I still stand by my OP.

Word is he has kids that live in Reno. He went to see them after Sacremento. That's fine.
But he should still be smart enough to stay away from the pool events as he's barred. Usually when barred that means you must not be on the premises.

I too heard that he has family in Reno.

I think we should all stop ripping on Rodney. Yes, perhaps he is in the wrong here, but no need to make it a bigger deal than it has to be.

I understand why Mark Griffin won't allow him to play, but I'm personally a big fan of him as a pool player. I don't know him personally, but I would be upset as a fan of pool if he was banned from a lot events. Hopefully this gets patched up some day. He is much more entertaining to watch than many other pros. He runs out so fast, shoots so straight- it is a pleasure to watch him play.

Well said. Thanks for speaking up for someone who's recently been getting verbally tarred and feathered on this fourm. That thread with over 45,000 hits on it about Rodney is over the top. It is quite sad to see how happy it seems to make some members to continue to rip Rodney Morris apart. Of course, most of them are the same ones who like to contribute to flame threads and flame others for the pure sport of it. The pack mentality of bullies who like to stick together can play together on this forum. If they get banned, they just come back with a new identity.

westcoast;460} "....... but I'm personally a big fan of him as a pool player. I don't know him personally said:
He is a Sagittarian ( Zodiac sign ). Like any other Sagittarians he is very easy going with less hang ups, frank in his opinions, fun to hang around. Sometimes he is like a Commedian.

I'm putting in the popcorn and buying the beer. Subscribed and anyone is more than welcome to join me to watch this series drama.

Wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy ahead of you..

Rodney didn't help his case here, he knows better then to show up. I'm not sure of his intentions but I'm sure it was more them just going to watch pool lol. After bad mouthing Mark on FB after his ban and now this he should be careful I'm sure other promoters are watching and may follow Marks lead in not taking this disrespect any more.

Jen, it is not a matter of getting flamed, it is a matter of using common sense, and admitting you screwed up, big time !
I like a lot of things about Rodney.....BUT !!!!

I seriously doubt there is a 'pack of bully's', conspiring to put Rodney down...It is more like a consensus of sensible,
positive thinking people, expressing their opinion people ! :o

Rodney has family in Reno. What's more, most of his circle of friends are pool players. Maybe he went to Reno to hang out with his buddies and visit his family at the same time. He just finished a tournament nearby, and so traveling there was not a long journey for him.

But some of this forum, the Rodney haters, will make something out of nothing and provide assine conjecture about what Rodney's true intentions really are. Gimme a break!

Depends on which side of the fence you're on, Dick.

Look, there is nothing wrong with anyone saying they do not agree with Rodney's actions as they pertain to Mark Griffin, but it's how you say it and the aftermath of bullies banding together, tag-teaming each other, and then attacking anyone who has a nice thing to say about Rodney that I am referring to.

I happen to like both Mark and Rodney and wish them both the very best in all of their future endeavors. :)

Hey I think it's great that he visits family Jam and even to go see his buddies but he has to know better then to show up to the CSI venue! That was no just going to see his buddies, even a die hard Rodney supporter could see that. He was trying to send some sort of message and it failed.

You can provide that opinion considering of pure conjecture on your part that he's trying to send some sort of message, but unless you're Rodney Morris, you have no idea why he went to that CSI venue.

What's next? Are we all going to criticize Rodney's hairstyle, his clothes, the car he drives, why he eats beef and isn't a vegetarian? Sheesh!

JAM, I love ya...but you are the resident wordsmith here. You know words better than most.

Hate is an extremely strong word. I don't hate anyone, and certainly not Rodney Morris. I don't think that there are many people here that truly hate Rodney.

We can, however, be disappointed in how he has behaved.

I don't think "disdain" or "loathe" is strong enough for what's been going on this forum in recent times as they pertain to Rodney Morris. "Hate" seems to fit the bill. Half the members who are voicing their dislike for him don't even know the whole story of what happened, but they are piling on threads adding their 2 cents as if what is written on this forum is gospel.

Meanwhile, let's put the spotlight on a few of those members of Team Europe, some of this forum's pool purists' golden boys, and see what unfolds when the truth is written.

Oh, and it's coming soon. Stay tuned.

You know Jam Im not a Rodney hater but he did these things, he made remarks about Mark and other things to get banned and he showed up at the venue after being banned, so for us to talk about him in a negitive tone is because he did negitive things. If this had of been SVB do these things and hes the golden child I would feel the same way towards him. Sometimes even the strongest supporters have to stop and say he screwed up and shouldnt have done that.

What I am trying to relay is not a defense of Rodney; rather, it is only to point out that members posting their opinions as if they are fact is nothing more than conjecture. When other people read these words, they may believe domr og these opinions, the way they are worded, to be truths. This is all I am trying to say.

We all have opinions and share our thoughts, but in a contrversial matter such as this, some of the opinions shared have resulted in embellishments and untruths about Rodney Morris. He's had his name dragged in the mud by some who don't know the whole story, yet they jump on threads like this because that's their modus operandi on AzBIlliards Discussion Forum, to bash anybody and everybody they can for the pure sport of it. This is not limited to Rodney, however. These same members do it to everybody they can and usually have very little to contribute by way of pool-related contributions. :(
