Roger is a great guy, and a great cue maker and player in the Seattle area. He has been in the hospital for over a month with health issues, and they won't release him until he gets a new roof put on his house. Some friends have spent many hours cleaning the place up for him. Any donations are great. My number is 425-686-2436. My PayPal is theweflens@juno.com. We are also having a Fundraiser Tournament for him. If everyone would gift $5 or $10 dollars, that would be a big help. There will be a Personalized cue holder donated to the cue winners also from Maik Halmer. Thank you all. God bless you. Rod Weflen
Raffle tickets are $5 a piece, if you buy some, I'll fill out your name and number on the tickets.

Sorry to hear Roger is not well.
I made lots of money shooting with a Roger Pettit cue.
Roger also did an ivory ferrule for me. Said it was his first ivory ferrule. He got the ivory from an old cue ball.

I have spoken with Mark and Rich and look forward to helping get Roger back home.

best wishes to him and all that help him.

but no hospital imprisons a patient until his roof gets fixed.

He has a bad flu, and serious problems with mold and air leaks and plumbing issues. Thank you.

My sons funeral was last Friday, I didn't come to the AZ community to solicit a single dollar to cover the cost of his funeral. I've known Roger for more than 30 years, own one of his cues as well, but Roger only worked when he felt like working, then played pool the rest of the time. If Roger had better work habbits, he could have paid for his house 10 times over by now, that's all I'm saying.

I'm sorry for your loss, Glen, you and I used to play at SeaTac Bowl all the time. Rod.

Is it Roger who is on here asking for help? Nope. You may not have been the one to start the threads about your son, but wouldn't have been thrilled if someone jumped in and criticized your parenting choices. That's all I'm saying.

Glen, sorry for your loss and the grief you are experiencing.

I knew Roger 30 years ago. I had a furniture shop in Tacoma and had 2 pool tables in my shop(I thank you for advice you gave me at the time on how to set them up). I can identify with the work habits and the pitfalls having pool tables where you work. Had it not been for my wife, I could easily have worked the same way.(Well I did until she gave me an ultimatum!)

Even though I have not seen him in over 20 years I still consider Roger a friend and will give what I can afford to help him out.

Glen I to am sorry for your lose, I know everyone is . I have met you a few times, and thought you were a stand-up guy but to read your post regaurding Rogers work habits and so on is realy hard for me to understand. To feel you were better prepaired for adversity is reasuring im sure, but to belittle a man you havent seen in a while is just plain bad form. well I've had my say . Best wishes to you and yours, and stay healthy.Wayne Fincher.

Roger has a very solid reputation as being a very kind, good man for many years. Many people who I respect speak very highly of him.

Rogers house has needed a new roof for at least 10 years. The entire house has been damp for years much of the time with no heat. The mold has to be every where. Putting a new roof on will not fix the problem. If Roger is having problems with the mold he should never set foot in the house again.
Question.... you state the house is being cleaned. Is someone having a yard sale or ebay sale of all the little collectibles Roger has to help pay for any of this?

We are trying to raise money for the roof, new drywall, plumbing repairs, carpet etc, etc. Roger isn't asking for this, it is more of an intervention. His house is too full of everything under the sun, and is another problem Roger has but we are trying to get it a healthy living environment.

I just received a donation from a great guy on here, please keep them rolling. I have sold a lot of cues on here, took a bath on most of my sales, lol. But I like to make people happy. My wife is not though,lol.:thumbup::thumbup:

I would suggest that before you spend money on any of these things you have someone come in and inspect the house. Since the roof has been leaking for at least 10 years the mold is in not just the carpet and drywall but in the very wood the house is made of.

And, yes, his house is full of stuff. It should be sold to help pay for this and/or to pay for him to live elsewhere until there is a liveable structure on his property once again.

So true, but all we can do is try to help the best we can.

If anyone want's to buy Raffle tickets for the cues, I can make sure that happens.
