I couldn't tell you any other info on him.... Before I got this cue, I hadn't heard of him, but took it in trade because it looks nice, hits great. I only have around $380 in it and am taking a loss at $300 firm. I just really need to thin out what I don't need.

I used to get up to Dallas quite often, as I went to Skydive Dallas about twice a week (whitewright, just a few miles south of the OK border), but haven't been there in quite some time. If you get down this way, let me know. I'm about an hour south of Waco (Round Rock, TX) and can meet up for some games any time!

I've been to Round Rock. I went to Dell Diamond to go to the Double A All Star game. Got to meet Nolan Ryan and his son Reid during the playoffs between San Antonio and Round Rock.

Anyway, back to the cue. Who made the second shaft?

I live in a subdivision about 1.5 miles from the Diamond.. :D

There is a local guy here that made the shaft. He did a pretty good job on it, I believe the ferrule is an ivorine III.

Well if I did that, then you would see me coming after your money in Houston!! I could say my name is Willie and show you a picture of me, but you will always remember the cue..... That is the one cue I don't have a picture of, can you believe that?

Two questions

1) Who is Roland Becker?

Jim

Roland Becker is from Northern Colorado and has been making cues for the last 6 years or more. I live in Fort Collins and I see Roland in his booth at every big regional league tournament (Cheyenne, Greeley & Fort Collins) doing repairs, tips, etc. He also always has a few of his own cues for sale or displayed in an unfinished state. His prices are reasonable since this is his passion, not his profession. Although lately it seems he's spending more time at cue making. Many league players use one of his cues. Although I haven't played with his cues, I recently hit a few balls with one of my friend's and it hit surprisingly well. At the price it's being sold, I would think it is a great buy. After all, if the hit doesn't fit your style of play, one of your buddies would probably love it.
