I’ve watched some of the semi final, it was torture to watch… 2 minutes average per shot from both players
Can’t watch him play, I didn’t stay to watch the final but this is a cool shot
 
I learned to like him and appreciate his skill after meeting him this year at the Derby.

Yes slow but deliberate player.
Tough competitor.
 
The announcers said he not only jumped the edge of the 10 but also the point of the side pocket, if you watch it frame by frame you can see its not really that close to the point of the side pocket, still a great shot though.

When they watched it back they corrected the call - didn’t jump the point of the pocket.

I watched live (on video) Alex do it but didn’t realize it. It was only when he explained the shot that I understood what he had done. Bonus is that it includes some instructional on how to make it.

The commentators spoke about the slowness of matches. It got to a point it was on my TV screen but I was preoccupied with my iPhone.
