If you're going to gamble that shot at least bet it right and not like a nit. If he says its a low percentage shot, ask him what percentage. If he says its a 10% shot, bet him 10-1 on the money, if its a 20%, then 5-1. You're asking him to put up even money on a low percentage shot. That's not a very fair bet.
In the tournament last night a friend and a very good player made a great kick and the ball went in. I commented on the nice kick but I was frustrated because the ball happened to go in and made a comment about the lucky roll. He was upset saying he lined up for that shot that it may have been a "low percentage shot" but not a roll.
I define a roll as luck
I said there is a real simple way to see if it was a roll "luck" or not
We'll set up the shot everytime you make it I'll give you $20 if I lose enough money I'll admit it wasn't a roll.
But on the other hand if you go broke trying to make it then you'll finally admit it was a roll.
Actually 10 shots would sufice to prove my point
I'm usually very good about playing through rolls. I know their part of the game, but man it was a long, long uncanny night.
Is my defenition of a "roll" off base from everyone else's?
