Roll-out ( 2 fouls, ball in hand )

It was well said. If you really believe it is something that will be lost to history, do something about it. Get a few old farts together and show us how it was done.

My video request is not unreasonable, or undoable. It's the easiest thing you can do with today's technology. Mike is right. You can reminisce and talk about it all you want. But I will never truly understand the attraction unless I see it or play it. Using Mike's description of a woman..... you can describe to me a beautiful woman with a 500 word paragraph. But I will NEVER understand her true beauty unless I do her..... errr... see her for myself!

I do not know anyone I can play these rules with. And playing with myself won't get the job done. At least not as well anyway! Lol. So u guess I'll have to watch someone else do her. You could call I POOL PORN FOR THE UNINFORMED!
There's always been quite a few good players in Ohio. I imagine if you stroll in the poolroom and inquire about some $20/game push-out 9ball you'll learn the rules real quick.

I've missed out on a lot. There are no rooms left that I'm aware of. The nearest to me might be Toledo, but it's 45 or 50 miles away. The rest are bars. There is one in Findlay OH, but it's just a bar with 7 or 8 Valley tables. I don't even know of a 9 foot table around. A friend has a 9 foot Gold Crown that was owned by the late Ted Elias. That's all I know about. It really sucks around here.

If you were playing for your LIFE you would want to play shoot-out.
Why wouldn’t you want to play it all the time and give yourself the best chance to win?

And that, my friends, is coming from another person who has forgotten more about pool than 99% of us will E V E R know.

I rest my case.

Thank you Mr Stroud. I wish I had one of your cues.

Believe it or not, I've been in Findlay. My 1st wife was from Upper Sandusky ( which I'm guessing you know of and that it's Upper Sandusky, not Sandusky, which is a tourist spot up on the lake ). Yeah, there *wasn't* much around that area, pool-wise. Of course it was the early to mid 80s when I was there. Sounds like it hasn't changed much.

I am sorry, but that is one man's opinion.

my best shot to win sometimes is firing a bank in and running cb around table to play short side shape on a ball that hides the next player from the banked ball, if I miss it?

Why should the incoming player be allowed to push from there? That is weak.

You hit the nail right on the head my friend. That is just your opinion. It means absolutely nothing more than anyone else's.

I know Upper Sandusky pretty well. I was raised near Fostoria. If it wasn't for bars and BCA league, I would have no pool at all. It sucks.

You ain't stapled to the floor up there ya know... there's a zillion other places to go in this world.

Ask him why he won't play call shot/call safe either!

Edit: I can't see his reply, I've had him on ignore for years, due somewhat to his attitude toward this topic. Usual whine is: "Why should you get to push out when I play a good safe?" My reply is usually: "Why should't I get to push out when you miss the pocket by two diamonds?".

And now that I have addressed your question, please address mine:
firing a bank in and running cb around table to play short side shape on a ball that hides the next player from the banked ball, if I miss it...

Why should the incoming player be allowed to push from there?*

So you're saying that when I come to the table after you miss the bank, that I'm hooked?

Yup...i should have change it to read 'fire at a bank'.

If I'm hooked, I roll out. Then you can fire at will or let me shoot. If I foul in any way at that point, you get BiH. And considering you just missed a bank you liked and the fact I bank like my address is 101 Wall Street Ave, I'm most likely rolling out a bank.

Holy fuhk. Do I need to be concerned about this being a discussion you are prepared to enter?

Please address the question,
Why should the incoming player be allowed to push from there?

In the context:
firing a bank in and running cb around table to play short side shape on a ball that hides the next player from the banked ball, if I miss.
