Ronnie O'Sullivan 1K Centuries - Contest!!!

I believe Ronnie is now on 993 centuries, right?
That's what the common-taters were saying. On the foul mentioned above, the detail in the rules that caused the 105 not to count is that a stroke is not complete until the referee has announced the score from the stroke and the referee does not announce the score (by design) until a color has been spotted (if needed).

At pool, scoring is different and a shot ends when the balls stop moving. A foul after that is a foul between shots. This is only important at pool games where each ball counts towards the match such as 14.1 and one pocket.

I really think he wants to get 1,000 at the World Championship.

There are still 2 big events before then (Indian Open and China Open).

He could definitely get 6 more centuries between those 2 events if he really tries.

2 more for Ronnie today. Total at 997

Still has the semis and possibly the finals left.

He either gets to 1000 in this event or 999 and takes a break until the world championship

Would be nice to see him make it at the world champs!

What time will the semifinal match for Ronnie be?
Is it possible to watch it on east coast time at a decent hour. I normally don't get to watch snooker live, but for this occasion I'd make the effort.

Thanks for keeping us up to date

I think that if he gets to 999 in this event we might see a lot of 98s and 99s from him before he gets to Sheffield. Bookies beware!:D

He's been turning down centuries lately and I can only assume it's because he wants 1000 to be at the main event.

I was watching an episode of Ronnies American hustle the other day and saw you made an appearance on it! How was the experience on your part?

That was Episode 4, around San Francisco. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Somyoc8KzTM

It was a lot of fun. Ronnie was very nice in person and he was happy to sign his autobiography, "Running", before we started taping. I would have liked to play a little better but after editing it wasn't obvious how many shots I missed. :)

I tried to get him on the carom table but it was occupied.:(

They did a long interview with Bucktooth Cook but it seems to have got edited out.

Aww man that's a shame.

Where would you have put Ronnie in terms of having a chance in the pool industry? I've only ever seen him play snooker in person but from what I've seen his pool arsenal looks to be lacking somewhat as snooker is a very simple game in terms of shot making.

He had no trouble with eight ball. I think he would be close to the top in six months of steady practice and play but there is no obvious motivation to do that. He plays snooker when he feels like it and where he feels like it. And there is the thing with the trick racks and breaks at nine ball. I think one pocket and 14.1 would suit him more.

As for the "very simple game" part, well, sort of. Ronnie does a lot of very precise cannons at a higher level than you see most pool players doing.

Am I missing something in the OP concerning the random number count and the name list? I do not see it in the OP.
