Ronnie O'Sullivan up next live

Matchroom.live has the best live coverage of any pool/snooker-related event on the earth, bar none. Here's a few screenshots I took during both of Ronnie's matches yesterday. They weren't pretty wins, but a win is a win, as they say. He sure did have problems with that tip. :p

He uses a beat-up old Master's chalk, BTW.

I agree with you, I initially started my sub with matchroom live for mosconi cup, but I think I'm gonna keep it for all snooker events throughout the year, I love watching these.

I saw an interview he did after yesterday’s matches and was surprised to hear he only practices 4-5 hours per week. It’s amazing he can keep up his level of play with so little practice time. I don’t ever hear of any large action games but assume they happen, does anyone know if Ronnie matches up for the big bucks, or pounds I mean?

I am not 100% sure but I do believe the snooker players, unlike the pool players, thrive off tournaments and academic learning, I don't think its like pool where ppl go off the road and gamble, or what I call it street ways of playing pool, but in snooker its' more like studying and having academies, then they just pursue tournaments and big trophies, I really doubt there are much of gambling especially for top players.

Maybe smaller snooker players? but I'm unsure about this.

Right now it's Judd Trump vs. Li Hang. Ronnie vs. Ding is at 3PM Eastern, noon Pacific.

I hope Ronnie wins but he’s gotta be in form to beat Ding. How’s Ronnie played so far?
Hit and miss. Says he hasn't been practicing and it looks like it. Still some flashes of brilliance.
Many of his first couple matches look like this and then he gets in gear and is unstoppable.
Ding will be a good test.

Judd is out with a foul.
What a match
He only needed 8 foul points at the end for a tie, and he conceded. I guess he was tired of playing. His chances were slim, of course, but you may as well play another 10 minutes considering it's about $90,000 to the winner of the event and at least $13,000 more for the winner of the match.

Doesn't make sense to me.

You've clearly never watched the BBC Jam. Nothing compares. On the big tournaments everyone probably purchases their feed (there is probably no other there) and provides their own commentators to it.

Matchroom are a sports promotional company, not a broadcaster. Sky broadcasting provide their feed on smaller events and I'm guessing license it to other cable operators like EuroSport (eg this current Scottish Open). It's not like big footbal stadiums where multiple companies can operate cameras separately.

I think Ding has only beat Ronnie like 4 or 5 times in 20 matchups.

Ronnie is in Ding's head a little in the same way Selby is in Ronnie's.
But ronnie isn't playing well, he doesn't like his tip even though he just replaced it.

Ronnie love master tips, but he changes 3-4 times every tournaments, he can't find a good one, in a box of 50 tips, he said that he can get lucky with 3-4 good ones.

Assuming it comes down to Ronnie and Selby.

Selby might want "revenge" after losing to Ronnie in the World Championship

Ronnie has been spoiled in his career....a lot of his snooker has been running balls like a 9-ball player.
He’s mid 40s now....he needs to fall in love with the tactical side of the game...he’s got all the shots for it...
...but you can see he doesn’t like it....but it’s the only way his world class is going to be long lived.
