Ronnie O'Sullivan vs Raj Hundal?

This is true, they're tiny. They also generally only use 6 or 10 reds, as opposed to a full set of 15.

And those tiny, wooden tables, with small balls and 10 reds, are the reason we're so bloody good at cuesports.

If Keith McCready had had one of those as a child, he would have been a true champion.

well this would be a great match

from my experience with snookerplayers (of course no pros like ROS) the biggest advantage a poolplayer has is the break. if they are playing 9 on the spot ronnie might be struggling to get a ball or to not do an illegal break. another small advantage for raj mkight be banks or multirail kicks, as well as some situations that might not be familiar for a snookerplayers (jumps, push outs, typical 9ball strategy)

it would be a lot of fun to watch this

Those tables use small balls. Tiny in fact. It is truly awful. The sort of thing people that don't play cue sports would buy for their child who shows an interest in it. Often wooden based. Awful. Awful. Awful.

I meant, try playing snooker with pool sized balls on a pool table. I was meaning English pool table actually from personal experience that is. But let us transfer that to a 9 footer if you like. If you can't see that having fifteen reds clustered around the end of a table would be crowded and make break building difficult... I have nothing further to add really.

Anyway..

There you have it.

This match, if it even happens, God willing will be viewed as an exhibition and hopefully played in that manner. God willing the pool player will be able to beat the pretender - otherwise simply making pool players look stupid..

So by that logic. Bar table 8 ball, 9 ball, 10 ball and 14:1 is more difficult than the same game on a 9ft table? So why are so many players scared of 'the big table' as it is referred to so often? Why don't the professional players set up a pro tour using bar tables?

There are more bar table players in the USA than there area 9ft table players. This is now the majority USA pool market - so why don't the top players bite the bullet and go play bar table pool where there's more revenue?

I wonder how many pros think bar table pool is more difficult than 9ft table pool?

I wonder why bar table pool isn't the world standard of pool?

I wonder why so many now believe that 10ft table pool is the future for pro pool?

I wonder, and keep wondering

Regarding Ronnie's dominance.

I don't think there are too many (if any) snooker players today that can beat Ronnie when he's 100% focused and playing his A game. I'm not sure how many can even beat him when he's not playing his absolute best. I'm sure there's some though.

My pick in this match would be Raj. The transition to pool, as Ronnie found out when he tried to play on the IPT, is not so simple.

If Ronnie were to play the likes of Shane, Dennis or Darren, he would, in my opinion, be crushed in a race to fifteen.

Raj can play. His style is pure 9 ball and his pace of play is intimidating. Given the right conditions and pocket size 4.5'', RS would have his hands full.
