2 or more Filipinos in every group. It looks like the possibility of an All-Filipino Final Round of 6 is very possible albeit a TALL order!

Nice pairings to to throw at the other contingent's big guns! Reyes with Luat, as back-up, to face Hann, Stalev, Nevel and Appleton. I think they're favored here.

Souquet, Peach and Matlock have to go through the 3 Gates of Hades, Django, Dennis and Ronnie.

Hohhman, Owen, Chamat and Diks needs to climb the Twin Peaks of Marlon and Alex.

This IS the deciding round. Go through these Pinoys and you're the likely Champion!

WOW---3 out of 18 are from the USA...what happened to the dominance we once enjoyed?? 8 from Europe and 7 from the Philippines.

Actually I think the answer to that is relatively simple. Other cultures value cue sports much more than the United States does in general. Thus those other countries have more people interested in the game and more talented players are discovered and work at the game. There is probably a Tiger Woods of pool out there in the United States, but he's probably playing, well, golf.
 
The Pino's are amazing, the snooker boys can flat play(learn how to break), and the Americans better hit the bricks.......COME ON...Gab, Larry, and Dave you have the weight of a nation on your shoulders.....WHAT AN AMAZING POOL TOURNY...

It's anybody's ballgame but as it stands right now, the winner is the Philippine Pool Community. It's fiesta atmosphere here now in anticipation of what normally happens. What happens here is that when internationalists return from fruitful trips they usually give outrageous weight to the least fortunate of their brothers. They usually get beaten so someof their winnings trickle down. Now if somebody hits the jackpot then it's not going to be trickling but downpouring! LOL

It's a viscious cycle, the lower levels get to get used to playing the faces and the faces have to push themselves harder. I'm sure that I already posted this.

It is amazing and something at 54 yrs old, I never thought I would see. Now, who knows what will happen with the game. Anything is possible. I am so grateful that the MOUTH and KT met.
I don't know Larry, but I wish him all the best from here.
Gabe has played in many of my events, done very well, and always been a class act. Plus, he is fun to be around.
David, I've known for many years and have always thought him to be one of the brightest talents in the U.S. I know how you have turmoiled over this, now, DO IT!

Quinten Hanns's certainly turning heads. His last group he qualified with flying colours, finishing top of the class. Winning 4/5 matches. Only losing to Strickland who is out now (i think)

He really doing the snooker pedigree proud. Very happy for him considering the recent events with his snooker career. Go on Quinten you got me rooting for you lad. :cool:

I haven't seen him play or break as i don't think his matches have been televised. Anyone tell me how well he breaks ?

His match against O'Sullivan was televised on Eurosport. His break was OK... if you compare it to Ronnies break :p

Ronnie's strong point is his finishes. He can clear the table with the best of them *imo*, if he had a better break he could become a complete pool player.

Correct me if i am wrong. Don't think their been anyone in the world who won the world snooker championship & world pool championship ever?
