I'm looking for a Round Shank Tool Holder for a Boring Bar. I don't have a Quick Change Tool Post (YET). But for now.. I would like to find like something in the picture.

I have looked on the Regular sites.. Maybe I'm missing ir.

In a lot of cases, boring bar holders like that are home-shop made. Tommy D.

Tool

There are boring bar/drill holders for lantern style tool posts..

When you get a QC tool post be sure to get a set with a tool holder that has a V groove for holding round tooling.

Enjoy'

All of the boring bar holders I have seen for a taig based lathe work in conjunction with the quick change tool post .

I ground my boring bars on a bench grinder to make them fit my taig based lathe 1/4 tool post .

Here is the holder that works with the boring bar .

Personally I get allot of chatter out of the longer boring bars and normally only use a boring bar to salvage joint collars off a broken shaft .

If you want something custom made, shoot me a PM. Otherwise, I have quick change tool post and my holders will hold boring bars up to a 1/2"
